Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 Strange Vision

After washing, Marcus came to the Ancient One's residence.

The other Mutants were settled elsewhere by the sorcerers.

The Ancient One looked at Marcus strangely.

"Master Ancient One, what do you want from me?" Marcus asked directly.

Although he had some ideas about the reason, he asked decisively nonetheless.

"You became a Mutant?" the Ancient One finally asked.

"Mutant?" Marcus was taken aback for a moment, but then he chuckled. "No, I don't have a mutated X-gene. I'm just a common human."

"Then... why did you appear beside those young Mutants today?" the Ancient One pressed.

"This incident... if I said that I saw some strange vision and heard someone constantly calling for help, so I subconsciously wanted to try it, and it turned out those things were real—would you believe it?" Marcus had already formulated this explanation.

He wouldn't admit that he had gotten into Xavier's School by mistake because he wanted to run away. Instead, he blamed everything on an inexplicable fragment of foresight.

After the Ancient One listened, she walked up to Marcus and looked up at him.

"You also learned Prophecy? Could it be that your natural magical body is so amazing that you can even learn the most difficult prophecy?"

There was a mix of joy and doubt in the Ancient One's eyes.

She had discovered the uniqueness of Marcus's body, which is why she thought of training him to become the Supreme Sorcerer. Similarly, to curb Marcus's "bad habit" of seeing and touching others, she had locked him in the Mirror Dimension for most of the past two years.

She made him constantly read, reading so much that she even taught him less combat skills.

However, the young man had managed to glean the ability of [Separation of Spirit and Body] from reading the books. Even today, he had suddenly shown such powerful abilities as [Space Gate] and [Self-healing].

Most importantly, he now seemed to have acquired [Prophecy]. This ability involved the field of Time!

The Eye of Agamotto, which contained the Time Stone, was kept in Kamar-Taj. This was what the sorcerers were sworn to protect.

"Indeed, you are a born sorcerer. However, you are still too weak now, so from now on, you should practice well here in Kamar-Taj." The Ancient One looked at Marcus very seriously.

Marcus was depressed.

Staying in Kamar-Taj? How can I improve my strength that way?

"No, absolutely not," he thought.

"However, Master Ancient One, I also saw some strange vision," Marcus said, putting on a grim expression.

"Strange vision? What did you see?"

"I saw countless people falling to the ground and writhing in pain. It started with a group of strangely shaped people, some with blue skin, and some with sharp teeth. They seemed to be dying." Marcus fabricated a disturbing narrative.

Upon hearing this, the Ancient One's expression changed. She knew about this. She had seen this potential future once before while gazing into time. In that vision, the Mutants had eventually resolved the issue themselves.

However, with Marcus's involvement now, the outcome might have many more variables.

"Follow me."

She took Marcus to the sanctum where the Eye of Agamotto was housed. The Ancient One put on the necklace and began casting spells.

After a while, she looked back at Marcus.

"This incident involves the battle between Mutants and humans. Now, the future has changed. It seems that from the moment you participated, a fog has covered that future."

The Ancient One double-checked with the Time Stone. She discovered that the Mutants' future was in disarray. This unexpected situation caused her profound doubt.

Even the Time Stone could not see through this revised future. It seemed that her disciple's causal involvement in the world was truly extensive.

"I feel that since I have been involved, this matter must be resolved, whether the result is good or bad," Marcus declared, suddenly looking righteously determined.

The Ancient One looked at him, seemingly lost in thought.

"No. The material world is left for them to resolve themselves. What we sorcerers need to do is focus on thwarting attacks on the magical side. And..." The Ancient One paused at this point.

"And... the matter of the Mutants, their ending has actually been decided."

"The ending is set?" Marcus's complexion darkened.

Whether in the old comic versions or the new film versions, the fate of the Mutants often seemed tragic. In one version, the Sentinels hunted the Mutants to near extinction. In another, they were killed by a genetically engineered contagion.

This sad race.

"Could it be that there is no way to save the Mutants?" Marcus asked, frowning deeply.

The Ancient One spun her head sharply. "You saw this too?"
