Chapter 5 - Chapter 4 : Hunted by Shadows

After Emily left the clinic, the doctor remained seated, lost in thought as she stared out the window at Felix. She couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that had settled in her chest since his arrival.

"How intriguing..." she whispered to herself, recalling the moment he first walked into her office. "It all started when he came to me. I sensed something... as if the signs of fate were whispering around him, foretelling something strange."

She shook her head, trying to dispel the ominous thoughts. "No, perhaps I'm overreacting. But I can't deny there's something unusual about him." She decided to keep an eye on him, to study the matter further. "I'll stay in touch. No need to worry now... I'll stop here."

Meanwhile: A Terrifying Encounter

In the back courtyard, Felix suddenly froze. A prickling sensation crawled up his spine—the unmistakable feeling of being watched. He turned slowly, but the area seemed empty... except for a lone tree standing in the corner.

Then he heard it—

A faint whisper drifting from the tree's branches.

"Our leader is near... his return is close..."

Felix shuddered at the voice but saw no one. Then, like a nightmare materializing from the shadows, a pale girl emerged from behind the trunk. Her eyes were dark as the abyss, her lips curling into a sinister smile as she muttered terrifying words.

"You'll die soon, Felix..."

She let out a maddened laugh before lunging at him with inhuman speed!

Felix barely had time to react. Instinct kicked in, but the girl was far stronger than he expected.

"Your soul... is no ordinary soul!" she shrieked as she struck relentlessly. "We need to kill you now... to summon the Master!"

"Who is the Master?! What are you talking about?!" Felix shouted, desperate for answers.

But the girl only laughed hysterically, her voice twisting into something monstrous.

"The deeeeead don't neeeeeed to knoooow!" she screamed, her words dissolving into manic laughter.

Felix realized the gravity of his situation. This wasn't just some deranged attacker—she had supernatural strength. "How do I get out of this?!"

Then, he felt it—a burning heat in his eyes. Once again, they shifted into a glowing gold, but the strain was immense. Blood trickled down his face from the overuse of his power, yet he had no choice.

"I have to use it... or I'll die!"

His eyes flared, granting him enhanced reflexes just in time to evade her onslaught. With one last burst of speed, he broke free and fled.

Gasping for breath, Felix finally stopped running, his body trembling from adrenaline. "What the hell was that?! Why am I being targeted?! What do they want from me?!"

The girl's words echoed in his mind: "Your soul is not ordinary... We need to kill you to summon the Master."

"Who is this 'Master'? And what does any of this have to do with me?!"

Things had just gotten far more complicated. Felix knew he was now part of a dangerous game—one with rules he didn't understand. "Did changing the course of events have consequences? Did I alter my own fate without realizing it?"

Pulling out his notebook, he quickly scribbled:

"Today, I was attacked by an unknown girl who claimed killing me would summon 'the Master.' I don't know who that is, but I know my life is in danger. I need to uncover the truth before it's too late."

Then, after a moment of deep thought, he added:

"Maybe... I should see the doctor again. She might have answers... or at least enough curiosity to help."
