Lynn Miller picked the flowers, feeling great, and watched as Renee Morgan kept stomping her feet and walking in circles around a spot. Finally, Renee headed in one direction and stopped at a patch of damp mud.
Before Lynn could ask, Renee Morgan looked up at everyone and spoke, "Let's all look around here. Whatever wild veggies… mushrooms are fine too." Thinking wild veggies might be tough to identify, Renee changed her wording.
Lynn and the others weren't stupid; they immediately understood Renee Morgan's motive. Although they didn't know how Renee could tell there were wild veggies and mushrooms nearby, nobody questioned her. Even if they didn't find anything, they wouldn't blame Renee.
