Zara Chapman stiffly turned her body, looked back at Renee Morgan, and really wanted to snap back, "As long as you don't mind, nobody else will care whether she's pulling her weight or not."
But Zara knew perfectly well in her heart that Renee wasn't the forgiving type. If she latched onto Zara, she'd blow things up and eventually kick her out of the team. Right now, without any survival skills on her own, Zara could only swallow her anger.
Wendy Aldridge still wanted to show off her hard-working persona in front of the camera, so she chimed in: "Is there any lighter work Zara can do? Renee and I can carry the branches."
Renee thought for a moment before speaking: "Actually, there's an easier job. We need to keep the fire burning until sunrise tonight, so we need to gather dry firewood."
Wendy's eyes lit up and she quickly said, "I just saw a lot of dry branches scattered over there in the woods. We can use those for firewood. I'll take Ms. Chapman to gather firewood."
