Chapter 1 - Chapter-1= The Deathbringer Lucius=

In the nights where echoes heard, the souls will be punished.

CHAPTER -1

Lein Khadi closed his novel, Fragments of the Forbidden Past, the final page lingering in his mind like a whispered goodbye. He sighed, the idea, familiar yet still piercing. "Robots, science, games... it is all just fantasy now, because of the event that happened 3000 years ago." he muttered, gazing out the window at the night sky. His black kitten, Luna, slept peacefully on the sill, the beautiful night sky was seen.

A nagging sense of forgetfulness tickled the edge of his mind, he thought:

[What am I forgetting?]

[Never mind]

he wondered, his brow furrowed. Shrugging it off, he stood up, stretching his arms over his head. The world outside was vastly different from the one in his books. Heavenly beings, sinful ones, and all the rest – it was a lot to take in. But Lein wasn't worried. He had more than five years before he had to take on the responsibilities of village chief.

SWISH!

As he turned to leave, an idea struck him and said, "An idea". "A character details page," he whispered, a smile spreading across his face. He had seen this Idea in the novel, but never got the time to write it. "A fun idea." He grabbed his diary, The Stranger's Tale, and began to write:

Name: Leid Khadi

Age: 13

Region: Village of Arisl

Skills: ??

Talents: ??

Class: ??

Religion: Viasal-lo

Race: Human-B

As he finished writing, scrolling through the pages, his eyes drifted to a page filled with memories of his friend, an Aestical (a race) Anq. A mixture of joy and melancholy washed over him. He closed the diary, the sound of distant bells piercing the night air.

THUNG! THUNG! THUNG!

The Golden Moon festival! the thing he was forgetting. The golden moon appears once in a year, a place where the celestial watchers live. Lein leaned toward the window, his eyes scanning the sky for the celestial phenomenon. But what he saw made his heart skip a beat.

[WHAT? ]

A figure, purple-skinned and red-eyed, sat on a throne of swirling shadows. His long black hair cascaded down his back like a waterfall of night. With an evil grin, he spoke in a voice that sent shivers down Lein's spine:

"Oh, great Swallower of Souls, hear the prayer of your Deathbringer. Take the souls of the persons in this village for me, Lord. For me."

The words hung in the air, a dark promise that seemed to draw the very life out of the night.
