"We're over. He's getting married to someone else now. I shouldn't—I can't… It wouldn't be fair to Yui." Sophie cut him off before he could finish. Even thinking about it made her feel dizzy and heavy-headed.
For the past two weeks she had been feeling this constant light-headedness. No cold, no fever—just an endless sense of never quite waking up.
"Alright, it's late. I'm going to sleep. Let's talk another time." Sophie glanced at her phone—it was already 11:30 p.m.
"It's 5:30 in the morning here!" Archibald laughed helplessly. "I stayed up all night just to call you at the right time, you know."
"I know, I know!" Sophie yawned. "Then let's both sleep. Good night! International calls are expensive!"
"You're still saying that? I heard your mom transfers living expenses to you every month. Why make things hard on yourself with a part-time job? Wouldn't it be better to take it easy?"
"I just can't sit still, okay? Alright, it's really late—sleep time!" Sophie urged.
