It was a long, arduous journey to Ardennes, but Elora knew it was well worth it when she sighted the view in front of her.
The castle on the jagged cliffs appeared like something from a winter fairy tale. Ardennes was lovely in a stark, cold sort of way, it looked like an icy jewel chiseled into the end of the earth.
A dare to nature itself, jutting out in vicious display, a stabb towards the heavens, its very existence an act of defiance.
The castle gates opened wide welcoming them home.
And the clear view of Azazeal's castle towered in front of them , its spires reaching into the cloudy skies, but Elora's eyes were taken by the estate tucked behind the castle, which sat at the very edge of the cliff. It was both magnificent and terrifying, the kind of place that dared its visitors to feel safe. Deadly yet breathtaking.
