This was Jhin's first time at Satania's place, and all he could say was that it was just what he'd expect from Satania, the whole place was brimming with a chuunibyou aura. Most of the furniture in the room was bright red, even the curtains.
Entering from the genkan, there was a kitchen sink to the side. Satania couldn't cook, so at most she used it to wash fruit, which was why it still looked sparkling new.
In addition, there was a wall decal of a purple inverted pentagram on a black background. Directly below it stood a peculiar gray humanoid sculpture with a strange face, an indiscernible gender, butterfly wings, and chicken feet.
There was also a Western-style iron candelabra next to the wardrobe, but the unlit white candle on it suggested it was purely for decoration.
A few more steps forward, and the staircase on the right led up to where Satania slept. It was decorated with strangely shaped plush dolls based on creatures from the Demon World.
A Cerberus with a red mane and three heads, each with a different expression, and a brown pirate rabbit with an eyepatch over its left eye.
All one could say was that the creatures of the Demon World had quite the imaginative design.
Unlike a certain fallen angel, Satania was quite polite and knew how to treat a guest at her home: "Jhin, would you like something to drink?"
"Just a coke," Jhin replied, not standing on ceremony.
"You have the same taste as Gabriel."
"So what do you like to drink?"
Satania pulled a cold coke from the fridge for Jhin. "Me? If I had to say, I guess it would be milk?"
So drinking a lot of milk really is the key factor for... growth?
Jhin glanced at Satania's impressive bust, something that left Gabriel in the dust.
Unexpectedly, she was exceptionally perceptive, immediately raising her hands to cover her chest, her face slightly flushed as she chided, "Where are you looking!"
Jhin calmly changed the subject: "So, do you want me to just teach you a method to beat Gabriel, or do you want to improve your gaming skills?"
Satania's attention was immediately captured. She twirled a strand of her red hair around her finger, putting her mind to work, thinking seriously.
A method to beat Gabriel directly sounded like a good option, but that kind of trick would probably only work once, right?
It was like the various prank items she often bought from the Demon World shopping channel on TV; after using one on someone, it was hard to get the same effect a second time.
It was better to play it safe, improve her gaming skills, and defeat her nemesis Gabriel fair and square.
"Let's go with improving my gaming skills!"
"No problem. Let's play a few rounds first."
"Bring it on!"
Satania enthusiastically turned on the TV, took out two fighting game controllers from the cabinet below, handed one to Jhin, and sat down cross-legged.
Jhin glanced at Satania's fair, well-proportioned, and plump thighs, and the lovely indentation made by her denim shorts.
When I get back today, I'll tell Nymph to stop slacking off and hurry up and make that personal wristband with a camera function.
Composing himself, Jhin selected a male character with a blond broom-like hairstyle from the roster, while Satania chose the burly sumo wrestler that Gabriel often used.
She wanted to find a way to counter her opponent by first becoming her opponent.
As they played, Jhin pointed out the various openings in Satania's attacks and explained how to read an opponent's moves. After all, these kinds of fighting games were essentially rock-paper-scissors; guess right, and you get to unleash a combo on your opponent. Guess wrong, and your opponent gets to unleash one on you.
His explanation made Satania's head smoke, her eyes turning into spirals.
Jhin shook his head helplessly. Seeing that Satania was completely dazed and had no idea what she was doing, he decided to teach her the simplest strategy.
And that was the "Shoryuken!"
As the saying goes, "One 'Shoryuken' is good for a while, but spamming 'Shoryuken' is good forever."
"Look, when I throw a fireball like this, you can only block or jump. You jump, and hey, I hit you with a rising dragon punch."
"When you get up after being knocked down, I just keep throwing fireballs. Annoying, isn't it? It's super annoying, but what can you do about it?"
Jhin's strategy, combined with his verbal taunts, completely tilted Satania. She bared her teeth at the game character scratching its head on the results screen, wishing she could pull him out of the TV and beat him up.
"Want to learn? I can teach you!"
Under Jhin's careful guidance, Satania spent a considerable amount of time mastering this strategy. The result was a scene where two game characters were constantly on screen shouting "Shoryuken!" while madly trading fireballs until time ran out.
Satania put down the controller, stood up, and placed her index and middle fingers on her forehead, striking a very chuunibyou pose. "Hmph hmph hmph, as expected of the future Great Archdemon, I have mastered such a terrifying technique! Next time, Gabriel will fall by my hand! Hahahahahaha!"
On the white coffee table in front of her, a cross with a metallic sheen caught Jhin's attention.
Isn't that the hair clip Raphiel always wears?
"Satania, isn't that Raphiel's hair clip? How did it end up at your place?"
"Oh, that," Satania's laughter died abruptly, replaced by a disgusted expression as if she'd swallowed a fly.
"A while ago, Raphiel suddenly appeared by my bedside, saying she was very interested in me and wanted to stay at my place."
Now you're talking. Jhin sat up straighter, silently urging her to spill the details.
"But after she finished teasing me, she just left. The hair clip was left behind then. If you hadn't mentioned it, I would have forgotten it was even here."
After speaking, Satania cautiously looked left and right, then leaned in and whispered into Jhin's ear with her pink, moist lips: "Jhin, you don't think... that Raphiel is into girls, do you?"
I don't know if she's into girls, but I'm sure she's into teasing you.
Satania's warm breath tickled Jhin's ear. It was completely different from Gabriel's holy fragrance, carrying a seductive, alluring scent that entered his nostrils.
As expected of a demon, she has a natural body fragrance that can bewitch the mind.
Jhin subconsciously shifted away a little, unsure if he could resist such a charm.
Satania apparently also noticed they were too close and awkwardly pulled back.
Jhin grew thoughtful. He didn't seem to recall ever smelling this kind of alluring scent on Vignette.
But on second thought, Vignette was protected by holy light all over, so it was only natural that he couldn't smell it, right?
"Jhin, when is Kessoku Band's next concert?"
"I'm not sure about the details. Why, did you enjoy their performance?"
"I guess so. I really like listening to their songs."
"I'll get you one of their band shirts next time."
"Really? Thank you!" Satania hadn't expected so many good things to happen in one day.
She secretly decided that if Jhin ever went to Hell, she would be sure to treat him well.
Jhin: "Nijika! Do you guys have any extra band shirts?"
Nijika: "We do! We already made about a dozen in advance as merch."
Jhin: "I'll buy two!"
Nijika: "Thanks for your business! I'll just charge you for one. You're a member of our band, how could we make you pay for a band shirt?"
Jhin: "OK, I'll come by to pick them up later."
