Chapter 1 - The fallen disciple

EPISODE 1 — The Fallen Disciple

In the bustling city of Jiangyun, skyscrapers gleam under neon lights, but few know that hidden in the misty mountains beyond the city lies another world — a world untouched by time. Here, ancient sects thrive in secret, guarding the martial ways that could shatter mountains or stop a man's heart with a single strike.

Among them stood the Azure Sky Sect, proud and powerful — and within it, a young disciple named Li Shen, known to all as the weakest of the outer courtyard.

He trained before dawn and bled past dusk, but his inner energy never flowed right. Others mocked him

> "A useless disciple like him should've stayed in the mortal world."

Li Shen didn't answer. He only clenched his fists until blood dripped from his palms.

That night, a rare Heavenly Lotus bloomed on the sect's mountain — a treasure that could enhance one's cultivation for decades. Every disciple wanted it. But when the Sect Master's son, Chen Hao, was found dead beside the lotus with Li Shen unconscious nearby, the sect needed no trial.

Li Shen was branded a traitor, accused of murder, and cast down the mountain

> "From this day forth, you are no disciple of Azure Sky Sect," the Grand Elder's voice thundered. "May you live and die as a sinner."

They broke his cultivation core — the source of his power — and threw him into the river below.

As his body sank into the cold darkness, his last thoughts burned with hatred.

> "They took everything… my name, my master, my life…"

But the darkness answered.

From the river's depths, a faint light pulsed — an ancient black jade pendant that had belonged to his late mother. It glowed with symbols older than the sects themselves.

A voice echoed inside his mind — calm, ancient, merciless.

> "Do you seek power, child of betrayal?"

Li Shen's bloodied lips curled into a faint smile.

> "If power is the only path to vengeance… then I'll crawl through hell to take it."

The jade's glow surged — and the river boiled.

Above the mountains, thunder split the night sky as the Requiem of the Forsaken was born.
