Fast forward a few years. I’ve got a job now (yeah, tragic), and I randomly decide to check back in on the novel. And surprise, there’s a continuation! Turns out it’s not Mars, but a fanfic by Mywifebeatingmeup called Against the Gods: Ascension. And let me tell you—it’s good. Like, “stay-up-all-night-pretending-I’m-still-sixteen” kind of good.

So I binged it like a true power-hungry cultivator… until the worst happened. I hit the end. No more chapters. Hiatus. Pain.

Tried to move on. Failed miserably. My brain kept throwing random endings at me for this beautifully slow, frustrating masterpiece (for me at least).
