Whenever Deacon Roth made a decision, he stuck with it, never going back, and questioning why he took that particular decision.
But in the situation that he was in, he could not help but judge his past self fiercely. What had drunk Deacon Roth, been thinking when he had looked at Haley Slater and had decided to marry her.
What sort of insanity must have been going through his head?
Whatever it was, it had to have been something super epic, for him to have decided that a woman as difficult as Haley Slater was worthy of being married to him.
Many women would have killed for the opportunity to be his wife. In fact many women would kill just to spend the night with him. And here he was married to the one woman who was fighting him tooth and nail, not because she wanted to live with him, but because she wanted to live in her own space.
At least now she had upped the stakes a bit.
But even with that, her method of conflict resolution was demeaning.
Rock, paper, scissors.
