'Yes!' Kenneth celebrated, 'Wait—'
'Huh?!' Lin screamed, 'Another door?!'
John started groaning and moaning. So did Skyler. She knew there was something wrong with the hotel.
'Door 0002?!' Kenneth yelled, 'How many are there?!'
Lin looked as if she was about to cry.
'What is happening??' John cried trembling onto his knees.
'Huh!! Let's… Look on the bright side! We know there are hidden keys in the rooms to unlock the locked doors we encounter!' John laughed.
'There isn't a key for this door though…' Skyler noticed.
Lin gasped.
'Yo!! Yes, Sky!'
'There is no lock, which means we don't have to find a key in this room!' Kenneth screamed.
'Nicceee! Now we know there are some rooms that don't even need any keys to open!!' John notified.
Skyler nodded and walked over to the door with '0002' written on it.
'Yep. It works.' Skyler announced.
Skyker pushed open the door, gently, to reveal another room.
'What?!' Kenneth yelled, dropping onto the ground, 'Another door?!'
'Seems like it.' Skyler said with zero emotion.
'Door '0003' ?' Lin read.
'It doesn't seem like there is a lock on this door either though.' Skyler informed.
'Okay…' John nodded, 'Maybe there is ten doors we have to get through to get to the exit!'
'Oh yeah!!' Kenneth agreed lighting up a bit more, 'Ten doors!!'
'So seven doors left…' Skyler added.
That didn't make Skyler smile, she didn't think it was that simple, and they had not yet found out what had bitten Lin on the face.
'Guys?' John called out, 'Are you guys coming?'
Lin opened her mouth and then fell onto the ground. She had been knocked out unconscious.
'Lin!!' Skyler shrieked.
Kenneth rush across the room to Lin.
'Lin?' Kenneth called, 'Are okay, bruh?'
John sighed, he didn't really want to wait, he just wanted to go. Ten doors from the elevator was the exit, only seven more to go, but now, Lin had fallen unconscious.
'What's happened now…' John mumbled showing his 'Totally not all mad' face.
'Lin's fallen unconscious again…' Skyler answered, 'It's bad.'
'Huh? How?' John asked finally showing panic.
'She's not breathing properly.' Skyler replied.
Kenneth inhaled a whole chunk of air, and breathed out.
'She isn't breathing, right.' Kenneth repeated.
'Yeah, you can just press down her stomach right?' John asked.
'I'm afraid it's worse than that John…' Kenneth told.
'Dayum, it must be bad.' John realised.
'It is!!' Skyler screamed.
John sat there waiting for Kenneth and Skyler to do all the CPR, but it wasn't going anywhere.
'Guys, is there anything around here that can help?' Kenneth asked.
'We can check in the next room! Maybe we could check in the next room?' John suggested.
'Great idea!!' Skyler agreed.
Kenneth and John entered the room to find anything that would help in the next room and Skyler looked after Lin.
'This rooms got another room to it!!' John commented, 'It's perfect!'
'Yeah, but look, the door is locked.' Kenneth informed.
'It might be in the room.' John suggested, 'Let's go check!'
They pushed open the door of the room to reveal a bed, a table, a few drawers, a bed, and a fallen lamp.
'Well, well, well… What do we have here?' John smirked.
He walked over to the table to collect the stack of 'Shiny yellow treasure' which happened to be, just, GOLD.
'No way.' Kenneth screamed.
'We're going to be SUPER RICH!!' John announced.
Kenneth smiled as John danced around the room singing and laughing.
'?!'
'What?' John asked.
'This hotel is crazy!!' Kenneth exclaimed, 'They have new bandages in drawers?!'
'Really?!' John shrieked.
'This could cover up Lin's bleeding face!!' Kenneth said.
Kenneth and John both rushed out of the room and back towards Skyler and Lin, who was just laying down on Skyler's lap.
'We found a bandage!!' Kenneth called out to Skyler.
'And some gold too!!' John added.
'Huh?!' No way! Bruh!' Skyler celebrated, 'Gold too?'
'Are you ready Lin?' John asked.
Kenneth carefully placed down the bandage on Lin's face.
'There! All done!' Kenneth announced.
There was an awkward amount of silence until…
'Ah! Huh?'
'Yes! Lin!!' All three of the friends of Lin celebrated.
'Did I fall unconscious again??' Lin asked, gasping and breathing for air.
'Oh my days!!' Skyler screamed in relief, 'YES YOU DID!!'
'Ah, I'm so sorry!!' Lin apologised.
'It's fine.' Kenneth forgave, 'Let's keep going.'
Kenneth and John went to find the key as Skyler helped Lin up and waited for the boys to find the key.
'Yes! Found it!!' Kenneth yelled, 'John, let's go!!'
Kenneth and John rushed over to the door written door '004' and unlocked it. They walked through the room with bookshelves that had just fallen onto the ground as the opened the door.
'Huh, that's strange…' Lin commented.
Skyker nodded. Both of the boys had known that too, the hotel was weird.
Door '0005'
'0006'
'0007'…
The lights flicker.
'What was that.' Kenneth panicked.
The lights flicker again.
'I — don't know…' John whimpered looking around cautiously.
'Be careful.' Skyler warned boldly.
'Yeah.' Lin nodded.
There was silence.
'Huh.' Kenneth murmured.
'Nothing?' John asked.
Nothing. No noise at all.
Skyler points to door '0008'
'Okay, let's keep going—'
SCRRRCHHHH
A dragging noise was coming.
'HIDE!' Kenneth yelled
'Where?!' Lin panicked.
'A closet?' Skyler suggested.
'Go, go, GO!' John screamed.
The sound was getting closer. Closer, and closer.
'There's no more closets!!' Lin screamed.
'Hide behind the bookshelf!' Skyler commanded.
Lin ran as fast as she could she tripped and fell onto the floor as she looked at the room behind her, it had turned completely dark, and something dark emerged from the shadows.
Lin screamed.
A monster came rushing at Lin, his face was almost all covered up by its big grin. It had black smoke around it and his face looked like a skull.
'Get up!!' Lin screamed to herself, 'Or else you'll probably die!!'
Lin pushed herself and slammed herself against the wall, the monster turned around rushing towards her.
'Please… No…'
