The teacher looked at the boy silently, and said, "Try not to be late next time Uchiha Obito " And with that he gestured for him to enter the classroom
Upon seeing obito coming late everyone's gaze fell on his clan symbol, a white-red fan, the Uchiha clan one of the most renowned clans in the ninja world
All the Uchihas are said to be genius yet somehow looking at Obito their images of them was slowly eroding
As everyone was looking at Obito, Tanaka-sensei said "we will be doing introducing ourselves in this lecture and the next lecture onwards we will begin your curriculum, student to far left start" He said while pointing to a boy
The boy was a bit flustered but said "Hello, my name is Takeshi, it's a pleasure to meet you"
And so following his example everyone started introducing themselves
"..... It's a pleasure to meet you" Said the boy beside me and sat down
I guess it's my turn now I stand up and ready myself for the introduction and say, "I am Ryoma, nice to meet you" With a smile
This causes the students to whisper among themselves, the boys wondering how I managed to get the first place in the entrance exam while the girls were gossiping about my looks
After I was done, I sat down but the commotion didn't end so sensei had to quiet them up, after that he gave me a look as if scrutinizing me
Then called the next student to introduce themselves
This went on till the class ended and sensei left saying, "You have 15 minutes break, prepare yourselves I will be bringing the curriculum and books for this year after the break ends "
With the students were left alone, everyone went to group up and make friends while also giving me a curious gaze
Many would come up to me and talk and I would respond politely, as I was talking sensei returned with a scroll and then started handing out the books to all students
After seeing that everyone got their books, Tanaka sensei started on our first lecture history of the leaf village and the will of fire

After an hour the lecture was over and we were given a break. As soon as the break started the students broke in the groups
As I was wondering what to do, a voice called out to me, and lo and behold it was none other than Kakashi himself
"You are... Ryoma, right? I want talk to you, come with me " He said coolly and started walking towards the ground
Seeing that he wasn't asking for my opinion I just sighed and followed him. Along the way, both of us drew a lot a curious and amused gazes as one was a known prodigy while the other was someone who beat the said prodigy in the exams
As we were walking, both of us noticed quite a lot of students following us but we didn't mind them and reached the ground
When reached there I stood in front of Kakashi when he looked at me and said "I want to challenge you so that I can see why I lost the first place to you "
Ahh so this was what it was, well he was still a child and a prodigy so was bound to be confident, arrogant even, though after I ranked better than him his pride was definitely hurt, so now he wants to restore it huh
"Alright, but I don't know much so go easy on okay" I said nervously. I truly wasn't being humble as Kakashi was taught by his father while I had no one to teach me anything not even taijutsu
So I prepared myself for beating, and he nodded knowing I won't have any prior training and said, " We will do taijutsu only match get ready"
As said that I took a combat stance I remember from my previous life and got ready
A single leaf fell from the tree and as if on cue we both rushed at each other. While we were starting, word had spread around that we were having a match and many students and even some teachers came to watch it
As soon as we came close, he threw a punch to left side and I defended with my arm 'ouch, strong' I thought but next he immediately followed by a sweeping action trying to throw me off the ground
I jumped and sent a kickto his torso but he quickly grabbed my leg and jumped over me and sent a kick to my head
I didn't let it connect as I defended with my right arm but force sent sliding back, I regained my composure and sent a roundhouse kick which stopped by crossing his arm
I could see his expression fluctuating from calmness to surprise as he didn't expect me to have this much physical strength
But he regained his cool and continued with the onslaught of attacks and soon enough I couldn't hold on and fell, then he swiftly proceeded to put his hand near my throat
This signified my defeat , I got up with his hand as a support, he said " You did well, way above my expections . It was a good spar"
"A good spar more like just a beating from you " I said as I looked at both of us. I was looking Haggard while Kakashi was spotless
"I have had training from my father but didn't have any training yet you held on for almost a minute is enough to say about your talent" He said with a sincere tone
I was a bit taken aback but gladly accepted the compliment, while with the audience gossiping was happening wildly
Students were trying to understand the moves used in the spar while the teachers saw two students with high talent levels
And at that moment the bell rang, it meant that the break was over and so everyone started dispersing
And then the rest of the lectures continued , while the lecture were being taught i reflected on my battle with Kakashi
He had more experience than me but had more constructive combat system while I didn't have a specific combat style
Then there was also the issue of not being great at taijutsu but that can solved with practice, I think I have an rough idea of what to do
First I need to learn some taijutsu, then focus on ninjutsu, even though I have ninjutsu talent I can't afford to rely on it as I don't have a lot of chakra yet so many of my early fights will be in taijutsu
I briefly considered whether to train for eight gates as it is one the most powerful taijutsu techniques but quickly discarded the idea as it would take too much of my time with ninjutsu
So, my primary goal is set, the secondary goal is if I reach the level Kakashi showed me today or at least brought a fight to draw during the year I will graduate early with him. If I couldn't then I will take another year and the graduate
If you ask why I am in a hurry to graduate it would be because one, I am smart I have already learned all the theory and two, I will be able to access the ninjutsu that village holds
After all my talent in ninjutsu is high so I should be able to learn many jutsus
While I was thinking the lectures came to an end and just as I was about to leave the classroom, Tanaka sensei came told me to wait for him
After a few a minutes, he came and said, "Well let's go now, I will show where you will be living from now on"
'Ah.. It was the accommodation the village provided for orphans' I thought
As we walked, a few minutes later we reached an building and gesturing me to follow me, Tanaka sensei opened the door to an apartment
Looking at me he said, "This will be where you live from now on, you will receive a monthly stipend of 1000 ryo be careful what and how much you buy "
"Also the rent will be covered by the village till you graduate from the academy and you stop receiving the stipend once you graduate"
He said meticulously explaining everything to me and finally left
I moved inside the apartment and saw it was small but enough to live peacefully
It seems they also moved my stuff here while I was in the academy, that's convenient.
I spent the rest of the day unpacking and exploring the house and shopping for the essential items like ingredients for cooking and tools for cleaning the house
