Greg starts to talk inside his mind. "Three hundred feet high... flying... taking in whole cities..."
"Three days by horse and cart..."
His mind raced through all the things that could happen, but each one fell apart because it was impossible. Could they find some horses? Even the fastest horse wouldn't get them there on time because they at least needed two.
"Is it possible that Elwen's plant magic could move there...? No, we've never done anything like that before, and this isn't the time to try something new. Could we—"
"No! Stop it, Greg...! I need to think! There must be something that we can do!"
But there wasn't. Greg knew it too.
He turned to his team again. Hilda could barely stand because the creature they were supposed to stop was consuming her body.
