3rd Person POV
'It's the backpack' Azazel realized it while both Hector and Keath were worried if Azazel would take their offer or not but something unexpected happened.
A blur passed them and it also snatched Keath's backpack and was standing next to Azazel.
Keath and Hector realized what had happened and their faces became pale, their last chance of survival was gone. They just lost their only bargaining chip.
Another man with a beard and short black hair wearing a black tactical combat suit with a green scarf around his neck was holding the backpack in his hand and was standing next to Azazel.
"Here you go Azazel" he handed the bag. "Thanks, Baraqiel" Azazel replied with a smile.
Both Hector and Keath were kneeling on the ground as if all hope was lost.
Azazel opened the bag and was amazed that the inside of the bag was reinforced with such care.
Seeing a handle, he pulled it out. A long cylindrical container came out and he threw the bag aside and observed the container
Looking inside the transparent glass container was a black ball-like item that was moving around as if it was alive.
Azazel frowned at it because he could feel it was absorbing the surrounding energy and also his own energy from his reserve.
"What is this?" Azazel demanded from the two of them in a serious tone, but Keath started to laugh as if he had gone crazy
"Go to hell, Assholes!!!" He pulled out a knife and stabbed Hector in his throat and also himself in the throat.
Both died and a pool of blood formed around them
"What's Next?" Baraqiel asked, not minding the dead bodies in front of them.
Azazel looked at the glass container, thinking deeply 'What the hell is this, I know that it is something alive because I can feel its heartbeat and it is also absorbing energy not only from the surroundings but also my own'
Azazel extended his hand and a bright yellow light conjured in his hand and launched it toward the two dead bodies
The bodies got incinerated on contact and nothing was left behind, only the dark scorch marks were left on the ground.
Azazel turned to Baraqiel "This is something different and could potentially be dangerous so don't disclose it to anyone. I will take it to my private lab and find out what this is" Baraqiel nodded and both left the area using a magic circle.
A few days later, a beautiful silver-haired woman wearing light combat armor with the color mix white and blue was standing at the spot where there was a scorch mark on the ground.
She was very beautiful with her unique hair color, beautiful features, and curvy body but her expression was serious as she analyzed the scorch mark on the ground and also searched the surroundings for a few minutes before coming to conclusions.
A small magic circle formed in her hand and a voice asked from the other side "Did you find anything Grayfia"
"Yes Sirzechs, Far away from the west of that lab, signs of light magic was found and it was used to destroy something" grayfia answered
"Anything else?" Sirzechs asked. "No, the trail has gone cold" she replied
"Let's deal with it later, we have more pressing matters to take care of. Meet me at Lucifer's capital city" He said and she asked, "Has the situation not yet stabilized?"
Sirzechs sighed and replied "We are getting there, the noble houses have fallen in line but, there are new problems that need to be handled"
"I'll meet you there" she said and the call ended. grayfia conjured a magic circle and teleported away
A Few Days Later
A Secret Location
Baraqiel could be seen walking through an underground tunnel and reaching a metal door. He typed in the keycode and the door opened, he walked inside only to be blocked by another door but this was a wooden door.
He held the door handle and yellow lightning conjured from his hand which ran and the door handle absorbed the lightning and the wooden door opened.
He continued to walk inside. The room was white-themed room that was actually a Lab with advanced tech everywhere.
In the corner of the room, Baraqiel spotted Azazel standing and walked to him.
Baraqiel saw that Azazel was staring at a huge glass tanker which was big enough to fit five adults inside.
The tank was transparent and the tank was filled with clear liquid and the black orb-like thing they retrieved was swimming around in a calm state.
"Azazel" Baraqiel called but Azazel didn't respond so Baraqiel shook him, waking Azazel from his deep thought
"Are you alright?" he asked with a bit of concern, Azazel replied "I'm fine Baraqiel, it's just that this thing is fascinating" he said while placing his hand on the container, observing the ball swimming inside.
"Did you find out what it is?" Baraqiel asked, looking at the black ball inside the transparent tank.
"Baraqiel, create some of your Lightning near the tank" Azazel instructed, Baraqiel didn't think much and created some of his Lightning in his right hand
Unlike normal lightning, Baraqiel can create Holy Lightning which is much more powerful and very dangerous to Devils.
It crackled in Baraqiel's right hand and he brought it closer to the glass of the container, the black ball rushed toward his hand and stopped right in front of his hand from within the tank.
Baraqiel wasn't startled by the ball's sudden movement inside the tank and was keenly observing for any changes, suddenly he started to feel the Holy Lightning in his right hand getting weaker until it was completely extinguished, leaving his hand empty.
His eyes were wide in shock and looked toward Azazel who had an excited look on his face.
Baraqiel continued to observe the ball that was floating on the other side of the glass, it didn't move for a few seconds until a different type of lightning started to run around its surface. He was able to feel that it wasn't his Holy Lightning because it wasn't yellow.
The lightning was a mix of black and red giving an ominous feeling to him, after a few seconds, it went back to its normal state and continued to swim around the tank.
"How is this possible? Azazel" Baraqiel questioned.
