Kane's arrogance vanished in an instant. "Back off," he yelled, stumbling backward while pushing his bodyguards forward. "Handle this—stop them now."
Kane had brought his top security crew, but they were clearly outmatched by Todd's people.
Within minutes, his guards were down except for one woman still positioned between him and us.
Blood trickled from her wounds, her stance shaky, yet she held her ground in front of Kane with unwavering determination.
The scene grabbed my attention. Her fighting style triggered something familiar—it reminded me of myself during those brutal days at St. Chaim Reform Academy, when I'd risk everything to break free with my friends.
After a moment's consideration, I called out, "Enough." Kane was my target—no need to drag his people into this mess.
The moment I spoke, the violence stopped. I shot Kane a cold warning look. "Next time won't be so easy." Then I turned to leave with my team.
