Chapter 2 - Spellcasting without a wand

As soon as he finished speaking, the entire hall fell silent, followed by a cacophony of discussion.

"What?! You must be kidding me! Stronger than Headmaster Dumbledore? How is that possible?!"

"It can't be him! I really don't know anyone else who is stronger than Headmaster Dumbledore!"

"No way! He's a dark wizard, how could he possibly get into Hogwarts!"

"Is Headmaster Dumbledore referring to the young man beside him? He's so young! Is he really as amazing as the headmaster says?"

"Combat Magic Course? Is it offensive magic? But isn't there a spellcasting course? Why is there a separate course for it!"

"They wouldn't teach dark magic, would they? That's impossible, Hogwarts is a respectable school!"

"New courses, amazing young professors, I can't wait!"

It wasn't just the students below who were discussing it; the professors on the stage were also whispering among themselves.

"Professor Jack's strength is stronger than Headmaster Dumbledore's? That's impossible! You have to know that Headmaster Dumbledore is the Supreme Leader of the International Wizarding Federation! The strongest wizard in the world!"

"Principal Dumbledore probably wants to elevate Professor Jack's status to avoid no one showing up for class tomorrow! After all, starting a new course is unprecedented!"

"Definitely! However, Professor Jack's strength should not be bad either, but he is definitely not as good as Principal Dumbledore. Such a young lad, he is probably the son of an old friend of the principal!"

"What I'm more curious about is what kind of course this combat magic is. Aren't all the current magic spells already taught? Why would they open a new course?"

"Why think so much? We'll find out tomorrow!"

Listening to the discussions around him, Dumbledore looked helpless. Professor Jack's strength really is stronger than mine!

Why don't you believe me?!

He glanced at Jack with a hint of apology, but Jack seemed indifferent and didn't feel anything was wrong.

It's like someone suddenly jumping out of the ninja world and saying that he's stronger than the Sage of Six Paths; no one would believe it.

"Now, before you all go to bed, let's sing the school song together!" Dumbledore shouted.

Dumbledore flicked his wand, and a long golden ribbon floated out, twisting and coiling like a snake above the dining table to form lines of text.

"Each of you choose your favorite tune," said Dumbledore. "Ready, set, sing!"

Then all the teachers and students began to sing at the top of their lungs:

Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hogwarts

Please teach us the knowledge.

Whether we are balding old people

The child still had a sprained knee.

Our minds can accept

Some interesting things.

Because our minds are currently empty, filled only with air...

Dead flies and trivial matters,

It taught us some valuable knowledge.

Give us back what we have forgotten.

You just need to do your best, and we'll take care of the rest.

We will study hard until we turn to dust.

Everyone sang the school song in a scattered and disorganized manner. Only the Weasley twins continued singing along to the slow melody of "Funeral March."

Dumbledore used his wand to conduct the last few bars for them, and when they finished singing, his applause was the loudest.

"Music," he said, wiping his eyes, "is far more captivating than anything we've done here! It's time for bed. Everyone, go back to your dorms."

The next day, all the teachers and students came to the same hall again.

The auditorium has been transformed from a banquet hall into a huge classroom, where all the students have come to study.

When Harry Potter and his friends arrived, they were surprised to find that the class was attended by all the students of Hogwarts, including those from all four houses and upperclassmen.

Even at the very front were all the professors of Hogwarts, including Headmaster Dumbledore.

This scene sparked a lot of discussion. Unexpectedly, this first lesson in attack magic attracted all the teachers in the school, and it was even taught to all four grades at the same time.

"It's amazing that this combat magic course has attracted all the teachers and students in the school!"

"It's not just teachers and students; look at the entrance, all the ghosts are gathered around watching."

"Hogwarts hasn't added any new courses for many years, and everyone is eager to see what this new course will teach."

The bell rang, and everyone took their seats. Dumbledore sat in the middle of the first row, looking on with anticipation as he waited for something.

Jack walked out from the side and stepped onto the podium, looking like a Muggle, without any trace of a magician's aura.

He stood on the podium and wrote the words "Battle Magic" on the blackboard.

"Welcome everyone to my combat magic course. I am Professor Jack, the master of combat magic!"

The audience erupted in applause, especially Dumbledore, who clapped his hands vigorously.

Jack looked at the curious gazes of everyone below the stage and continued:

"First, before learning combat magic, you need to know what combat magic is! Combat magic is different from the ordinary magic you usually know; combat magic is created for combat!"

Of course, there are many types of combat magic, including healing magic and support magic, but since it is called combat magic, the most powerful ones are used in battle.

Compared to ordinary magic, combat magic has greater attack power, a wider attack range, and greater destructive force.

Jack paused for a moment, and the students below looked even more confused.

Ch2: Spellcasting without a wand

The professors looked at Jack with some surprise, as if he meant that this young professor had invented a new attack magic.

The professors found it hard to believe, thinking that Jack was just bragging, while only Dumbledore nodded in agreement.

Professor Snape noticed Dumbledore's actions, and a storm raged within him.

No way! Could he have really invented new magic?

Moreover, according to Jack, this is unlike ordinary magic; it's something that no one in the magic world has ever accomplished in all these years.

Could this be a genius? Or another mysterious person?!

Thinking of the mysterious man, Professor Snape clenched his fists and frowned.

Professor Quirinas Quilleau, sitting in the first row, stared curiously at Jack above him, his headscarf swaying slightly.

Jack continued, "First of all, let me tell you the biggest difference between combat magic and ordinary magic: combat magic does not require the use of any external objects, including wands!"

The entire hall was completely silent!
