Chapter 2 - 1

ENO'S POV:

"Eno, get down here now! __ What's taking you so long?!"

"I'm coming!" She shouted, running down the stairs.

Eno came down, in her new uniform, although her over-religious parents had her wear the customized beret, she still looked very stylish.

"You're going to be late," Her mother, Ovie rapped. "Did you pray?" She asked, walking out of the main door, while her daughter followed behind her.

"Yes mum." Eno rolled her eyes in her head, of course she just had to ask her that.

Ovie turned to look at her.

Eno was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt tucked in a green customized skirt and paired with same-colored blazers___ and, of course, that darned beret!

"You look beautiful, make me proud__ hmm?"

Eno forced up a smile before nodding. Her mother turned and entered the car.

She exhaled____ 'You can do this'___ and entered the car.

__ "All these we ask, in Jesus' name_"

"Amen." She said, her eyes still focused outside the car.

Jesus knew she wasn't listening to the prayer.

But she didn't mind, she was more interested in the view in front of her.

Caravagh High.

Her mother sighed, making her turn away from the view.

"Remember where you're coming from__ make a good first impression, okay?"

Eno nodded, not wanting to say anything. She opened the door and allowed her black flats touch the floor before pulling her body out of the car.

"Have a good first day." She heard her mother say before she drove off.

Eno didn't wave, or look back or think about it___ She was mesmerized by the view.

The school was so beautiful, it had plants everywhere, she also spotted a fountain from where she stood. This school was definitely made for royals.

There were students everywhere, some were reading on the benches, while some were chatting with their friends. The environment felt so serene and peaceful____ What she wanted, no _ needed right now.

She moved around. Eno was never the very social type, in fact she wasn't social at all. Luckily, she had a friend here.

"ENO!"

Speak of the devil and she shall appear.

She turned her head towards the direction her name came from and saw a girl about the same height as her running towards her.

She wore a white hijab on her head and had on a pair of green customized trousers instead of a skirt.

Eno firmly braced herself for a strong hug__ which she got.

"Hi, Elina," Eno said withdrawing from the hug.

"Bro, when I told your parents about here, I never thought they'd let you come." Elina half-squealed.

Eno sighed unconsciously, "I never thought they'd let me do anything."

Elina gave her a look, "Don't be so pessimistic__ She gave a tight smile then tapped her shoulder, "Come on. You'll love it here."

Eno smiled faintly, Elina Umar_ The most optimistic person you could ever meet was with her_ What could go wrong?

"I'll show you around."

"I hope you're ready for the rigorous activities lined up for you this year. New students should meet their form teachers for a copy of your timetable, and a few other things you'd be needing here."

The woman, who was obviously the principal was talking. Eno stared at the large auditorium.

"This is where assemblies and meetings are usually held." Elina whispered to her, like she didn't already know that. She turned her gaze back to the woman with the microphone.

"Welcome__ everyone, to Caravagh High!" She said with a broad smile. Eno wondered if she really meant that smile.

The sound of the bell came, freeing her from her thoughts. Everyone got up and left the auditorium.
