"I heard you're asking for me?"
I softly knocked on the desk as Mrs. Berson had her head down, looking into something behind the table.
"It's Miss Patson—oh, I am sorry, Director Patson."
She was lively as ever. Her old face was brightening up with all the skincare products, round and perfectly sized as a football.
"It's fine."
And her smile, like always, brought my own.
Excluding the head secretary, there were other secretaries that were always in charge of attending to people who came to visit the Ceo, but Mrs. Berson had a small office of her own, closer to the Ceo's.
I only had to turn my head to look to see the main door.
That was also something that was on my mind—other than all the other things and most important right now.
