Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Money Exchange

He kept fleeing away from Konoha for two days and two nights.

Uchiha Feiyun's speed was slow, but he was cautious enough.

Before he climbed out, he had already reinstalled his Three-Tomoe Sharingan in the hills, using his 60-stage Spiritual Power/Mental Strength to repair the optic nerves and damage to his eyes.

The reason his movements were slow was because he found it difficult to move his body.

"I feel mentally energetic, but my body is very sluggish..."

Uchiha Feiyun pondered his own problem as he walked along the mountain path.

"Is it because my body hasn't recovered, or is it due to the excessive blood loss earlier?"

It made sense; blood is the driving force for all functions of the human body. With massive blood loss, the body would certainly be in poor condition!

Instead of rushing, he took out a storage scroll, summoned food and water, and began to eat slowly.

It must be said that although the original owner's talent was ordinary, he was a meticulous and cautious person, preparing all sorts of things thoroughly.

After eating and drinking his fill, Uchiha Feiyun found a cave and slept for a night.

After fleeing for so long, his mind had been constantly tense. He hadn't had a good night's sleep in a long time. As soon as he settled down, he fell asleep instantly.

After several days of rest, his body had indeed improved significantly.

Fei Yun arrived at a small town and bought several hooded windbreakers. He dared not take any risks now; if he were recognized as a Uchiha, he would be dead!

He didn't believe that those people behind Konoha would let him go.

After sleeping outdoors for several days, Fei Yun originally wanted to find a hotel to take a good bath and rest.

However, after asking for the price, he left the hotel, as he simply had no money left.

"This won't do. I need to find a way to get some money. Otherwise, forget about revenge, even my basic living expenses will be a problem!"

Fei Yun rubbed his chin, walking along the street and pondering his next move.

"I now possess the Three-Tomoe Sharingan. My ocular power and strength should be barely considered Jonin level, right?"

"Perhaps I can try to take on some Commissioned tasks to earn rewards..."

Just as Fei Yun was thinking about where to earn money, something suddenly came to mind from his memories.

The Bounty Exchange Office!

That's right, the original owner had done many missions before and had come into contact with this most peculiar and mysterious organization in the Ninja World.

As long as you have money, anyone can post a bounty, and of course, anyone can also be bountied!

It was clearly an organization that hired assassins, yet it had branches spread throughout the Ninja World, with numerous branches in every country!

As long as you were rich enough, you could put a bounty on the Hokage or even a Daimyo.

And in fact, some people did just that. Important figures from various countries, whether Kage, heads of powerful clans, or even Daimyo, had bounties on their heads, though the rewards weren't very high.

Because the difficulty was simply too great, generally no one could complete them, and most bounty hunters just watched for entertainment. No one would do such a foolish thing!

After all, the bounty for a Jonin would be tens of millions of ryo, and an Elite Jonin would be tens of millions of ryo.

Wouldn't Kage-level figures start at several hundred million ryo?

Few people had that much money, and few bounty hunters could take on such a mission.

And those top bounty hunters found the asking price too low. Unless someone offered over a hundred billion ryo, then perhaps someone would be willing to take the risk.

Uchiha Feiyun took out a map, located the nearest Bounty Exchange Office, and then set off.

After half a day of travel, he finally arrived at a small Bounty Exchange Office branch.

This was a secret place built beneath a temple. In this man-eating Ninja World, a world where a table of people couldn't produce a pair of parents and orphans ran rampant, people deeply believed in gods.

Therefore, all sorts of temples were very common; wherever there were people, there was almost always a temple.

There was no other way; people needed spiritual support and solace to survive.

Fei Yun circled the temple inside and out several times, but he couldn't find the entrance to the Bounty Exchange Office.

He had no choice but to knock and tap various surfaces, making noise, hoping to attract the attention of those inside to open the door for him.

Just as he was knocking on a wall, a "rumbling" sound came from behind him.

The floor not far away flipped open, and a tall man with a thin face and squinting eyes emerged from the underground passage, looking Fei Yun up and down.

"Are you looking for the Bounty Exchange Office, Young Brother?"

Fei Yun smiled and said, "That's right. It's my first time here, and I couldn't find the entrance right away."

"Follow me!"

The two walked into the underground passage one after another, and after a while, they arrived at the underground Bounty Exchange Office, which had walls covered in grids.

The thin-faced man said softly, "My name is Que Ni. What should I call you, Young Brother?"

Fei Yun pondered for a moment before saying, "Just call me Nameless."

The thin-faced man nodded, not paying much attention. For people in their line of work, names were just aliases; too many people didn't want to reveal their true names.

"So, Nameless Young Brother, are you here to exchange a bounty, or do you have other business?"

Fei Yun asked with a hint of confusion, "Besides exchanging bounties, does your Bounty Exchange Office have other transactions?"

"Naturally, we do! Posting bounties or buying and selling information are all possible transactions!"

Hearing this, Fei Yun's eyes lit up. If that was the case, he could cooperate well with their Bounty Exchange Office.

After all, the power of an organization was much stronger and more efficient than his individual power!

For example, Fei Yun could put bounties on the family members of the Konoha F4. As long as there was enough money, there would definitely be plenty of people willing to accept the mission!

Wouldn't that make the Sarutobi and Shimura families scream?

Unless their people never left Konoha and holed up in the village.

Even so, if the price was right, plenty of bounty hunters would be willing to infiltrate Konoha for assassinations.

"Hahahaha..." Thinking of this, Fei Yun couldn't help but burst out laughing.

The thin-faced man looked puzzled: "Nameless Young Brother, what are you laughing about?"

"Nothing, I just thought of something happy..."

Fei Yun paused, composed himself, and continued, "I want to exchange bounties for Uchiha Clan members. Can you show me the bounty list?"

That's right, he planned to make use of the waste, go back and dig up the bodies of his clansmen, and then exchange them for money.

Then he would use the money he got to post bounties for the lives of the Konoha F4 family members.

Fei Yun thought to himself: This is also avenging you. You should understand, right?

However, the thin-faced man shook his head: "All the Uchiha bounties have been claimed. Just today, two Ninja even brought two bodies to exchange for money!"

As he spoke, the thin-faced man walked a few steps to a grid, pulled it open, and a cold body lay in the rectangular compartment. From the fan clan crest on its clothes, it was clear this was an Uchiha.

Fei Yun's eyes widened, and he thought to himself: This is Uncle Toru!

It seemed that all the valuable Uchiha bodies had been taken by Konoha's people to claim bounties!

This was truly squeezing out the last bit of value from the Uchiha... After all, the Uchiha massacre had just happened, and under Konoha's suppression, the news surely hadn't spread yet.

The bounty clients hadn't had time to cancel their bounties, which bought time for Konoha's greedy wolves to claim the rewards.

With his source of income gone, Fei Yun could only think of other ways. He thought of the large number of Sharingan he possessed.

After all, Fei Yun was just an ordinary Uchiha Clan member; he didn't know the clan's forbidden jutsu, so keeping a large number of Sharingan had no real purpose.

Wouldn't it be better to turn them into money and put bounties on their enemies?

He believed their owners would also be very willing... So he immediately asked, "Does your Bounty Exchange Office accept Sharingan?"

The thin-faced man was already a bit impatient, thinking that the young man in front of him was a worthless customer.

Just as he was thinking about how to send him away, he suddenly heard this, and his eyes lit up immediately. A warm smile appeared on his face: "Yes! Of course, we do! Nameless Young Brother, do you have Sharingan?"

Are you kidding? No one has ever brought such things to sell. Konoha guards the Sharingan and Byakugan more strictly than their own wives!

Because of the Caged Bird Curse Seal, even if a Hyuga Clan Ninja was killed, their Byakugan would automatically be destroyed.

And as for the Uchiha, it goes without saying; they were famously protective. Anyone who dared to gouge out their clan members' eyes would truly be hunted throughout the entire Ninja World!

How many people had put bounties on Konoha's two great ocular jutsu, the Sharingan and Byakugan, without success?
