Rumble!
Thunder roared as dark clouds gathered, and the sky seemed to be punctured by a black hole. Torrential rain poured down, drenching Zhou Chen below the forest.
Zhou Chen lifted his head, bearing the continuous downpour striking him, and gazed into the pitch-black night sky, resembling an unfathomable black hole, or an endless abyss waiting to devour him.
He raised his hand to rub his rain-soaked hair, the strands clinging together in a tangled mess, yet Zhou Chen paid no mind, for he only wished to return home, to that warm abode.
Zhou Chen mustered all his strength and dashed toward home, but after just two steps, his foot sank into a quagmire.
The bog was deep and viscous; his foot could not reach the bottom, and most of his leg was swallowed, making extraction exceedingly tough.
Unyielding, Zhou Chen surveyed his surroundings.
