Zhang Shenyi's eyes were bloodshot as he spotted Dong Xiaodao trying to wave his shield and edge closer to him.
Dong Xiaodao's eyes were equally red as he roared, his feet moving in quick succession, attempting to charge back towards him against the rain of bullets.
"Captain! I'm bringing you out!"
Dong Xiaodao's roar sounded somewhat distorted amidst the gunfire.
Zhang Shenyi's heart trembled, but what surged up within him was a fierce resolve; he absolutely could not let his team be dragged down with him to die here.
"Dong Xiaodao!"
He roared out, his voice tearing at his throat, carrying the taste of blood,
"Obey orders! Don't come to save me! Everyone, immediately! Now! Withdraw! If even one of you can escape, do so! Xiaoyou! Plan the optimal escape route for everyone! Hurry!"
He himself was already powerless to fight, and he dared not have his team turn back to save him.
Doing so would ensure none of them could escape.
