Ding Ling was having a delightful conversation with Tong Yuan, Zhao Yun, and the others.
After letting go of his initial reservations, Tong Yuan grew increasingly appreciative, admiring, and respectful towards Ding Ling.
He pondered for a while and said:
"My life's essence in learning is all gathered in the Spear Technique and Breathing Technique. Although I understand quite a bit of various other martial arts, I suppose you wouldn't be interested in learning them."
"No."
Ding Ling quickly replied:
"I'm interested!"
"Oh?"
Tong Yuan glanced over but, considering Ding Ling's astonishing capacity for comprehension and learning, he was not surprised:
"That's true. For someone like Zhao Yun and me, learning these miscellaneous martial arts might be a waste of time, but for you, it's different."
Zhao Yun was a bit embarrassed.
He knew his master's words were meant to comfort him.
