"Mountain Lifting and Cauldron Carrying!"
After Second Child pointed out the location of the Rain Beast, Yi Tian went straight for his ultimate move.
This Rain Beast has two hundred constitution points, and its strength isn't low either. Without an ultimate move, Yi Tian can't handle it.
"Dad! It's running. Toward the villa garden!"
Second Child's words instantly deflated Yi Tian's momentum. That Rain God's talent is way too OP. The Rain Beast wants to sneak away, so Yi Tian's brute force is useless. Second Child can only tip him off, but never precisely control the situation.
"Damn! My Spirit Fruits... Little White!"
Yi Tian immediately realized the Rain Beast's plan. This guy's entire existence revolves around munching on Trial Takers' heavenly and earthly treasures—can't feast on the divine-grade ones for now, so it's going after the S-level spirit fruits instead.
Little White usually cherishes its fur and hates the rain. But with its master's command, it had no choice but to leave the villa. A few big hops later, it arrived in front of the Vermilion Fruit, Cyan Spirit Fruit, and Jade Spirit Peach.
"Awooo!"
It let out a roar! Beast King's Fury skill activated. But it was useless—the Rain Beast has a Divine Gift skill.
At this point, Little White had already consumed the Dragon Blood Holy Fruit: It's about to transition from childhood to Growth Stage, leveling up like crazy—strength 150, constitution 160, speed 190.
The Rain Beast sensed Little White wasn't to be trifled with, watched from afar, and dared not approach.
Integration with rainy nights is its edge. At the D-level, their strengths are close, if not less. Even with Rain God, it's not easy to dominate.
For the Rain Beast, ambushing is nature—not shame.
The Five Tiger Generals rushed over at this moment. They're not super strong, but more reliable than Little White. Coming along with them was Tong Yi.
"Big Child, you lead the Five Tiger Generals to the backyard and guard our Dragon Blood Holy Fruit."
"Tong Yi, can you pinpoint the intruder's position?"
After Big Child led the Five Tigers to the backyard, Yi Tian asked Tong Yi.
"Can't sense it directly, only delayed sensing. Has to be within a 50-meter radius."
Tong Yi answered calmly, emotionless.
"Alright, just find an opening and try to stick it."
Yi Tian felt helpless!
Don't be fooled by how many of them there are and how strong—they're still on the passive side. Rain Beast with Rain God and Cloud Soaring is basically invincible here.
At least the Rain Beast can't attack while flying, or it would be even more of a headache.
Second Child knew where the Rain Beast lay in hiding, and though it didn't move, its heartbeat couldn't fool him.
But Yi Tian whispered to Second Child not to provoke the Rain Beast. This beast is sly as hell, every time Yi Tian watches it for a few steps, it switches spots immediately.
"One last try!"
Taking a deep breath, Yi Tian moved forward with Tong Yi in search mode, but never looked directly at the Rain Beast's spot.
"Throw!"
When they got within fifty meters, Yi Tian drew a short spear from Tong Yi's back and hurled it at the Rain Beast together.
Yi Tian's sudden burst of strength hit over three hundred, but he didn't know the Rain Beast's size, let alone what it even looked like. So, of course, he missed.
"Mmmph..."
A miserable cry sliced through the rainy night.
Turns out Tong Yi had connected!
Just as Yi Tian and Tong Yi readied to throw again, Second Child pointed upward.
On the ground you have landmarks for positions; in the sky, Second Child could only give a rough direction.
Yi Tian came to the spot where the Rain Beast was wounded and saw two short spears from Tong Yi stuck in the mud—one of them stained with blood.
"You bastard, Rain Beast. Cried like you're dying over a little scratch."
Seeing that bloody spear, Yi Tian knew the Rain Beast just got nicked.
"Second Child, did it leave?" Yi Tian suddenly felt rain smack his face, all muddy, looked up.
Cautious, crafty, obsessed with heavenly and earthly treasures. Yi Tian sensed the Rain Beast would be back—for sure. Might be today, might be tomorrow, as long as the rain doesn't stop.
"It flew off fast, out of the territory. Can't hear it outside anymore." Second Child answered Yi Tian.
"How is this just a handful of people's fortune?! Unless you can crush it with absolute power, there's no way to take it down." Yi Tian sighed. One day the Rain Beast lives, one day the territory won't be at peace.
Since coming to the Celestial Dao World, Yi Tian's been busy but lucky—finally hit a setback.
This bizarre world, those freaky monsters—they're not even that tough, yet he's completely stumped.
Does he have to stand on the Calabash vine till the heavy rain's over?
"Dad!"
Third Child bounced up to Yi Tian, so he hugged a big calabash in his arms.
"Third Child, you came out early—aren't you worried you'll stunt your growth?" Seeing her, Yi Tian forgot the Rain Beast for a sec, tone full of concern.
"Relax, Dad, I've soaked up almost all the calabash vine's divinity. Just the calabash's divinity left—tomorrow I'll be born!"
The yellow calabash wiggled in Yi Tian's arms.
"That's good!" Only then did Yi Tian relax.
He hefted a few logs and built a small wooden shelter next to the Calabash vine.
In case the Rain Beast doubled back, Yi Tian could only stand guard. Tong Yi patrolled the back of the villa. Little White and the Five Tigers stayed out front.
Yi Tian and the Little Kiddos pretty much chatted till dawn. When he was sure the Rain Beast wasn't coming, he caught a catnap in the wooden shelter.
"Hmm..."
A tiny hand pinched Yi Tian's nose, so he opened his eyes.
In front of him stood a chubby little girl, her whole body crystal-like as white jade. Yi Tian immediately noticed her skin was different from Second Child and Big Child.
"Third Child!"
Yi Tian didn't even need to guess—she'd "hatched" from her shell while he slept.
Name: Yi Huang'Er.
Race: Gourd Spirit Race.
Strength: 150.
Constitution: 200.
Agility: 150.
Spiritual Power: 100.
Spiritual Power: 100.
Talent: Divine Talent Vajra Indestructible. Activating Vajra Indestructible increases base constitution threefold for 60 minutes, spiritual power fuses with flesh to create Protective Divine Gang—Copper Head Iron Arm, Steel Bones. Can't use again within three hours after activation.
Divine-level Passive Talent War Spirit: boosts base strength, agility, and constitution by 50% during combat.
Skills: None.
"Detected Divine-level potential. Territory Points +10,000. Current points: 113,250/200,000."
Yi Tian's heart skipped a beat. Damn, awesome—as expected from the fiercest fighter of the Calabash Sisters. Third Child's passive looks unimpressive but has no time limit—it's a permanent 50% boost in all stats. In other words, as long as she fights, strength 225, constitution 300, agility 225. Pop Vajra Indestructible and it's 700 constitution, plus the defense buff from Protective Divine Gang.
The only bummer—Vajra Indestructible doesn't mix with War Spirit.
This power—if the Rain Beast couldn't fly and go stealth, Third Child could smack seven or eight of it easy.
Dammit, every time Yi Tian thinks about Rain God, his head hurts.
Flying and stealth—seriously tough to counter.
"Third Child, what do you want to eat today? Dad'll cook for you."
Yi Tian hoisted her up, grinning.
"Watermelon!"
No hesitation from Third Child.
"Haha!" Yi Tian knows the Kiddos always want watermelon after seeing their first edible fruit—first impressions are everything.
No need to rush anything—Yi Tian handed over the Four Spirits Fruit, letting her power up even more.
After eating four, Third Child: Strength 190, Constitution 250, Agility 180, Spiritual Power 135.
Pretty strong, but against the Rain Beast, still feels like punching cotton.
After a quick skirmish, Yi Tian saw just how cunning and cautious the Rain Beast was—it never tried attacking anyone outright. Not that it didn't want to—just didn't feel confident.
Yi Tian briefly considered baiting it, but immediately abandoned the idea. Laying in wait is too unpredictable—a total waste of effort.
"Celestial Dao Roulette, give me two Two-Star draws." Yi Tian didn't forget today marked his fifteenth day in the Celestial Dao World. His lottery points hit 10—perfect for two two-star rolls.
Yi Tian went to an open spot in his garden to draw.
The Two-Star Roulette flashed before him. The needle spun slow, then fast, then slow again.
Finally, it landed on "Special Tech Reward."
"Ding! You acquired: Special Tech—Solar-Powered Mega Harvester."
A harvester twice the size of Earth's, strangely shaped, appeared in front of Yi Tian.
Yi Tian used the Celestial Dao Stone to scan it—turns out it can handle wheat, rice, and with part swaps, can harvest cotton and soybeans too.
Yi Tian nodded in satisfaction. He's still got a huge chunk of land lying idle. With this harvester, things are way easier. Since crops here ripen in 20 days, hand harvesting a few acres is fine, but thousands would drive people insane.
"Ding! You acquired a B-level reward: Automatic Beast-Catching Celestial Net!"
Yi Tian quickly scanned the giant iron box with the Celestial Dao Stone.
"Automatic Beast-Catching Celestial Net, crafted from B-level Beast Tendon and Special Metal—a fusion of high tech and master forging. Needs 1 D-level Beast Core to activate, auto-catches beasts within 200 meters. E-level beast capture rate: 100%. D-level: 90%. C-level: 50%. B-level: 5%. Warning: when energy runs out, beasts break free."
Yi Tian clenched his fist in excitement. Heaven's on my side—90% odds! Rain Beast, let's see you dodge this.
Two hundred meters—crazy range. Put it in front of the Calabash vine, covers all the spirit fruits.
Yi Tian wanted to test it with Wind and Cloud White Tiger, but Little White is way too smart. Saw that big iron box, went straight back to Tiger's Den to rally the little ones.
Anything from the roulette is guaranteed quality.
Still, just in case, Yi Tian decided to keep sleeping by the Calabash vine in the shed—leave the baiting to the other four Spirit Fruit Trees.
10% fail rate—Yi Tian would never risk the Little Kiddos.
After a wild night, Yi Tian spent the day resting—eating, napping, listening to the rain.
Rain Beast still around, Yi Tian couldn't relax. Daytime is for recharging, nighttime for keeping watch.
It was nearing ten o'clock, and Yi Tian was glued to the area chat to kill time.
Yi Tian was convinced the Rain Beast would come. Its whole existence is to target those ranked near the top of the district.
Whether it's the Celestial Dao Rules or its own nature, Yi Tian's place has plenty of things it wants.
"Haha, Yi Tian you little prick, let's see how you fight me now!" Blue Skin Race's Sam.
Suddenly, a message popped up in the district barrage. Yi Tian was befuddled—spamming in the middle of the night? What's with these lunatics?
"Boss is mighty!"
"Boss is invincible!"
"Boss is clearly Celestial Dao's favorite."
"Boss is pure Overbearing Aura!"
…
Yi Tian was speechless. One day not talking and you guys start your 'Great Ze Xiang Uprising in a Rainy Night' over here?
After yesterday, Yi Tian thought the Blue Gang's morale would be toast, but the guy's still got serious sway. How many Celestial Dao Coins did Sam hand out to his cronies?
Now basically everyone in the area knows Yi Tian's stats are all over 100. Almost no one dares cross him.
No one knows when it'll be possible for rivals to "drop by" unannounced after all.
"Welcome to join us at Blue Gang—when Celestial Dao unlocks restrictions, we'll join forces and get rich together." Blue Skin Race's Sam kept spamming, sounding all high and mighty.
"Heh, who do you even think you are? What kind of trash is this Blue Gang?" Wing Race's Kong Ming sneered.
"How dare you speak about our boss like that! Our boss is the Child of Destiny, beloved by Celestial Dao!"
Earth Human Race's Jin Youxian actually jumped out to roast Kong Ming. Just goes to show how much courage Sam gave him.
