How deep is the affection between Chang Xi and the Great Golden Crow? No one knows except themselves.
But everyone can see it — the Great Golden Crow's feelings towards Emperor Hao are a mix of respect and admiration, while towards Chang Xi, it is attachment and longing.
The Great Golden Crow does not allow anyone to say a bad word about Chang Xi, even if it's an unintended slander.
It's no exaggeration to say that, among the numerous goddess consorts in Emperor Hao's harem.
The stability of Chang Xi's position as the Celestial Empress is actually less about her relationship with Emperor Hao; the attitude of the Great Golden Crow is the key factor.
There are even rumors that before their identities as the Celestial Emperor, Celestial Empress, and Crown Prince, they are first and foremost a family of three.
This blatant special treatment is a fact that even Heng'e has to acknowledge.
