Li Yang took the cigarette out of his mouth, ready to speak, when Bai Qing lifted his arm again, bringing the cigarette back to his lips.
The flame slowly approached, and as he took a drag, the cigarette was lit.
Because of the first two years of high school classes, there weren't many people staying overnight at the internet cafe, leaving an empty seat next to Li Yang.
Bai Qing pulled over a chair, sat next to Li Yang, and turned sideways to look at him.
The two were silent for about thirty seconds, and although Bai Qing kept smiling, it wasn't the same as before.
Finally, Li Yang broke the silence.
"Suddenly not flirting, I'm a bit not used to it."
Bai Qing still smiled, just less enthusiastically than before.
To Bai Qing, Li Yang's disregard was scarier than rejection.
It's like something you might think is expensive and can't afford, but you definitely can't just ignore it.
