Fragmented Remembrance.
What can they be?
Residual memories of past particulars without totality,
a capacity altogether, hovering between good and bad reality
to combine what used to be.
What can they denote?
Perhaps the composite of an unfinished self,
that substance falling apart between what was and what could be.
A truth aspirating toward the finality of itself.
Why do they exist?
Not as mere ghosts,
not as incidental experience
but as reminds of causes that impacted the spirit
so deeply time could not transition them into totality.
And what do they mean?
They exist as the past recreates present form.
They reoccur as the unmoved causes keep talking.
They remain since forgetfulness can never dissolve the imprint of causes.

Where does the first remember continue
and where does the continuity stop?
Why?
Because meaning is never owed by nature.
Because to know is sometimes to cleave and is more painful than not knowing.
Because certainty is a precarious actuality
and doubt is the required impotence to guard truth.
