Hanchu walked straight toward the prison.
A long black cloak hung from his shoulders, its heavy fabric moving slowly with each step. The hood was pulled low over his head, hiding most of his face in shadow. Beneath it he wore a dark mask that covered the lower half of his face, leaving only his eyes visible.
Under the cloak was a fitted black coat fastened with several metal buttons and leather straps that crossed his torso and waist. A wide belt wrapped around his hips, reinforced with additional buckles and rings. From it hung short chains and metal clasps that lightly clinked as he walked.
A deep violet scarf was wrapped loosely around his neck, the fabric falling across his chest and disappearing under the cloak. The color stood out sharply against the black clothing.
His trousers were dark and tightly fitted, secured with several leather harness straps along the thighs. Small metal fasteners and holsters were attached to them, clearly meant for weapons or tools. Heavy black boots reached above his ankles, reinforced at the front and sides, built for long travel and combat.
Black gloves covered his hands.
With one of those gloved hands, Hanchu roughly shoved Saigid forward, forcing him to walk ahead of him toward the prison gates. The crystal handcuffs around Saigid's wrists reflected the harsh midday sunlight.
The guards noticed them almost immediately.
Several rifles lifted at once.
"Guardians of the Light," one of the guards said, warning the others as the two figures approached.
The tension in the air changed instantly.
After a short, silent inspection, the guards stepped aside.
Without another word, they allowed them to pass inside to see the warden of the prison.
