Chapter 9 - team TweLve

"I've confirmed it; you are my target," the child said, staring at the intruder. He then took a step forward; just one step made the man scared. He rushed forward with a slashing attack; the man dodged by jumping upwards with an incredibly indescribable movement. He twisted his body, then kicked the man, sending him tumbling and almost falling. But he managed to leap through the glass; the child chased him inside.

The man ran, protecting his head. With one slicing motion, all the lights fell, directly above the man. The man dodged by rolling.

"Crash!"

The door was kicked open; dozens of people rushed in. Everyone tried to get closer, but flying glass prevented them from doing so. In addition, random shots fired by the man out of panic made the situation even more chaotic. The child stared at the man. The situation became tumultuous as dozens more people entered. The child then moved quickly, so fast that the wind seemed to gather, then he leaped out. The man reacted in surprise, but as he was about to flee, his movements stopped. A heavy pressure was felt on his leg. He screamed because of it; his mind was in turmoil. His leg felt like it was truly about to come off. He tried to hold on with all his might, but the entanglement on his leg was incredibly strong, like a powerful, binding chain. His body and the floor beneath him collapsed. He tried to release it, but it was useless because what was entangling him was an incredibly strong iron chain. He was then dragged out.

"Crack!"

The glass shattered. His body bled from the glass shards; he tried to protect his face with his hands. What was that child doing? he thought. He began to panic when he realized he had fallen from a very dangerous height. Just as he realized it, his body had hit the asphalt, but his thick jacket had saved him. He tried to stand and precisely cut the iron chain. He hadn't even realized it, the attack had already come like a beast pouncing on its prey. The child came from above and tried to slash him. The man, however, managed to dodge the attack. After that, he tore off all his clothes until only a t-shirt remained; his green hair was indeed conspicuous. Sweat drenched him, further highlighting his body full of wounds and bruises.

"These stupid thick clothes are annoying me," he said with a heavy voice and sharp gaze.

Although he struggled with all his might, he still couldn't match the child. The child reacted by taking a stance, his sword ready to be drawn. With a small movement, he threw several knives at the man. The attack was effective; although the man dodged the knives, one had lodged in his leg.

"My adrenaline is pumping! Come here!"

"This pain is nothing," the man said, standing tall with a puffed-out chest.

A group of people was seen coming from two opposite directions. The child reacted as if indifferent, emanating an incredibly strong killing aura, making everyone around him afraid. He moved forward to intercept all those useless crowds.

"I won't let weaklings like you disrupt my fight," he mumbled.

He then stepped forward, causing considerable damage to the asphalt he trod on. The man did not stay idle; he anticipated this attack first. He pulled a pistol from his pocket and tried to shoot the child. All shots were avoided by the child. He then advanced with his sword crossed. The man anticipated by retreating and firing a series of shots again. The clang of metal adorned the field; not a single shot managed to touch the child. The child then approached at full speed. "I will give you the best game," he said in a heavy voice.

The man had already anticipated this attack; he fired his pistol and successfully hit the target, but it was just a trick. The large jacket looked like a person. He had been fooled, and then without realizing it, he saw his stomach already covered in blood. He clutched his stomach, then collapsed weakly. The situation turned; the fight ended. The authorities arrived and arrested the man.

Phrillo also appeared to see the previous events; he had met Argelus, so he couldn't come quickly, but it seemed it was already too late. Darius approached him, reporting that the suspected henchman of Argelus was no longer in his room. The two of them then got into the car and left the place. Darius was very confused by what had happened. Phrillo briefly explained that there was a place that amateur teams like them should not go to.

"The reason I brought you is this place."

Darius looked around; this place was very squalid. Darius asked his superior why they had to go to this place. Phrillo just remained silent, his eyes fixed on an old building. This district was very isolated from the outside world; its condition looked like a slum. Phrillo closed the car door. He looked at Darius and said,

"I'm entrusting this to you, Darius."

"Here are your car keys and..."

"That's right, those are the hospital keys."

"I'm entrusting both to you, Darius."

Phrillo then entered the old building. The place was truly dilapidated; graffiti was everywhere, and a somewhat eerie atmosphere was palpable. Phrillo looked around. Inside, a white-haired man was sleeping on the floor.

"Why are you here, Phrillo?" the man said with a lazy tone. He still hadn't woken up.

Phrillo smiled faintly.

"You really haven't changed, Hikaru."

"You're still being lazy with the task you're currently carrying."

"You're too relaxed, aren't you?"

Hikaru finally sat up and asked again,

"Have you changed, Phrillo?"

"Besides..."

"Just tell me your request quickly!"

"No need for pleasantries!"

"I need your help!" Phrillo said in a heavy voice.

Hikaru sat up; his neck was a little sore. He asked Phrillo for a moment, and after he finished, he replied.

"There's no point in asking for help from someone like me."

That night, all teams retreated from the broadcaster's building. Groups of cars with guards could be seen surrounding the entire street, adorned with the sound of sirens.

Hikaru knew who the intruder really was. Before he introduced himself more deeply, he asked them not to talk in a place like this. They then left. He started his car in the foggy midnight. He raised the suspension and drove his car. Hikaru and Phrillo went to a certain place. A large white building with striking paint. Hikaru joked a little, saying they should thank the government. They entered the hall, a room filled with luxurious and expensive decorations. The floor was made of glass and marble. He then took an old chair from the storage room downstairs and began to introduce himself.

"Welcome, Phrillo, to our home, Team '12'," he said in a loud voice.

"What does a big team like yours need by coming here?" Hikaru asked.

"Alright, I'll say it again."

"I need your help!"
