Hearing that it was a "small spell" that "wouldn't be learned from textbooks," everyone got excited.
"Wonderful." Cedric smiled brightly and said, "Not in textbooks, I really want to know what kind of spell it is that you can teach us in the Room of Requirement."
Poor Cedric, he hadn't realized what he was about to learn.
However, Hermione suddenly frowned. No matter how she thought about it, something felt off, and she had even thought of the Gaunt Clan's book "Inoffensive Minor Curse."
Could it be...
Is Harry going to teach us those carefully selected "Minor Evil Curses" from the Gaunt Clan that might earn us a Dementor's soul-sucking package?!
But before Hermione could think further, she noticed Harry pulling out a few magic wands from nowhere and distributing them to their hands one by one.
Seeing these second-hand wands, Hermione let out a gulp.
Oh my God, it really seems like we're going to learn prison curses!
"Here, hold these wands." Harry said with a smile, "I figure you wouldn't want anyone to detect your spells with a Flashback Spell, so I borrowed some old wands from outside."
"How did you borrow them?" Ron asked curiously, "Wizards treat their wands as their lives, how would they lend them to you?"
Harry was just about to answer when he thought of Uncle Vernon's favorite line from the movie "The Godfather" and, with a flair, he said, "I gave them an offer they couldn't refuse."
Most of the people present were children from wizard families and didn't know what this meant—nor did Hermione, as she wasn't interested in these movies.
However, instinct told him that Harry's reason wasn't a very good one.
"Alright, now let's pick up the wands." Harry said to everyone, "The spell we're going to learn next will be very useful to you—but I do not recommend you use it lightly outside."
"What spell is it, Harry?" Seamus asked interestedly, "Is it some kind of explosive spell? Let's blow this damn place up together!"
"No, not at all, Seamus." Harry leaned against the table, looked around, and asked, "Among the many dark curses, there are three Unforgivable Curses. Do you know what they are?"
"The Cruciatus Curse, Harry." Neville shivered but still answered the question.
"And the Killing Curse." Hermione said.
"As well as the Soul-snatching Curse." Cedric added.
"I'm glad you know these three spells," Harry clapped his hands and said, "but I hope you never encounter them. Our purpose here for practice is to keep us safe from these things—alright, let's start with the Soul-snatching Curse."
"Who knows the key to the Soul-snatching Curse?" Harry asked.
The crowd fell silent; they had never really paid attention to this spell—even if they saw it, they would skip over it.
"Alright, let me tell you." Seeing no one answered, Harry said, "The Soul-snatching Curse, the spell is Imperio, is used to control someone's actions and is one of the Unforgivable Curses."
"When the spell hits the target, the caster feels a warm stream, and the caster will control the actions and words of the controlled, like a puppet on strings."
Having said that, Harry took out a spider from his wallet.
"Engorgio!"
Under the spell's effect, the spider's body quickly enlarged.
Fearful of spiders, Ron quickly retreated to avoid the large spider at that moment.
"Imperio!" Harry cast the spell again.
He controlled the spider to keep bouncing around: "See, under the spell's influence, it obeys my every command—this is why the Soul-snatching Curse is one of the three Unforgivable Curses, it can make someone lose themselves, following the caster's commands."
"I heard that years ago, many wizards claimed they were controlled by the Soul-snatching Curse to evade responsibility." Harry told them, "I'm talking about the days when Voldemort's powers were at their peak. It really kept the Ministry of Magic busy because they had to distinguish who was acting under duress and who was acting on their own free will."
Saying this, he used a Disappearing Spell on the spider.
The faces of the students present didn't look good, as they had never dealt with Unforgivable Curses before.
This was the first time they had someone like Harry blatantly demonstrate it in front of them.
"Hogwarts has really protected you too well!" Harry, noticing the expressions, tapped the table angrily and said, "Not letting you encounter these spells, does it mean that when you come across Death Eaters, you should just sit there and wait to die as they use Unforgivable Curses on you, without having any effective countermeasures?"
Hearing Harry's words, all the students present lowered their heads, deep in thought.
Honestly, while the Soul-snatching Curse is quite extreme, what Harry said was indeed reasonable.
Not learning how to respond now, should we wait until we leave school and let the Dark Wizards teach us instead?
By then, would the Dark Wizards show mercy?
"I understand, Harry." Cedric was the first to react, "I understand what you mean—thank you."
Harry's expression improved slightly.
"Harry, I know you mean well." Hermione said, followed by everyone else who expressed understanding of Harry's aggressive teaching method.
Otherwise, what? Not let Harry teach, and let the Dark Wizards teach instead?
