Chapter 150 - Chapter 117: Old Friends of the Leme Family

Buying some Muggle books isn't exactly misusing Muggle items, so Mr. Weasley turned a blind eye to it.

Besides, he's not in charge of stopping others from wanting to learn about the Muggle world, right?

Everyone's packages were placed in Harry's little bag with the Traceless Stretching Spell, so they were light and easy to carry. When they tossed the books in, Harry distinctly heard Pabi let out an "Ouch."

"You hit me!" Pabi said, sounding aggrieved.

"Oh, sorry—" Harry apologized, but not too much.

Since it was still early in the day, they decided to have lunch in the Muggle world.

After all, they were dressed more like ordinary people than wizards, so they weren't worried about attracting attention.

Lucius and Draco left first, as they seemed to have other matters to attend to at home.

"I really don't know what's gotten into him," Arthur muttered under his breath as he watched the Malfoy father and son walk away.

For so many years, Lucius had never shown any inclination to be friendly towards him. Even when they crossed paths, it was just a simple greeting.

But... maybe it was because of the investigation into Dark Magic items?

Arthur mused to himself. This matter was supposed to be on the agenda, but an unexpected Muggle incident had interrupted it.

The Ministry of Magic had allocated a lot of manpower to erasing Muggle memories, leaving no time to conduct house-to-house searches for suspicious Dark Magic items.

Lucius, being a member of the Ministry of Magic, must have heard some kind of rumors.

But then again, Arthur wasn't so sure, and after thinking for a while, he decided not to dwell on it.

The Grangers were very hospitable to the Weasley family, inviting them to sit in the restaurant. Just after ordering, Mr. Weasley continued to chat with them.

The topics of conversation included but were not limited to things absent from the wizarding world like television, telephones, computers, cars, and bus stations. Mr. Granger didn't mind talking more with Arthur, and the two of them chatted animatedly.

Luckily, they were in a private room, otherwise, they would surely have attracted a crowd.

When it was time to say goodbye, Arthur was a bit reluctant. After talking with Mr. Granger for so long, he had resolved many questions he had about the Muggle world.

He absorbed knowledge about Muggle technology like a sponge.

That afternoon, after bidding farewell to the Granger family, Harry and the others returned to the Weasley home using Floo powder.

Harry really didn't like traveling by Floo powder; each time, he had to use the Cleaning Charm on himself—otherwise, he'd be covered in soot, which was quite dirty.

In the evening, Auntie Molly didn't keep Harry waiting and cooked a large pot of beef stew with potatoes for him.

"Smells great." Harry said, patting his belly as he sat on the bench, burping contentedly.

"It sure does." Ron was equally reluctant to move.

Thanks to Harry, he had been eating well lately.

As the days passed one by one, when August 15th arrived, Harry decided to say a temporary farewell to the Weasley family.

"I need to go out and visit a friend," Harry explained.

Arthur and Molly didn't ask further, just told Harry to be safe.

After all, they had witnessed Harry's abilities...

Harry thought for a moment and decided to take Pabi with him.

He also made a trip to Diagon Alley to buy Pabi a lot of snacks, to prevent her from going hungry.

Once everything was ready, Harry used Apparition Displacement to arrive at the Leme residence.

Apparition requires having been to the target location before, and Harry had visited the Leme family home once during Christmas break in his fifth year, a hundred years ago, with Vivi.

Even after a hundred years, the Leme residence hadn't changed much.

This home was protected by the Sword of Loyalty Spell; without knowing the exact location, it was impossible to find it—even Voldemort or Gellert Grindelwald couldn't achieve that.

Fortunately, Harry knew.

He stepped forward and knocked on the door of the Leme household.

After a while, the door opened, and Harry looked down.

"Dico?" he asked in surprise.

"Young Master Potter?" Dico happily bounced up and down as well.

Neither of them had expected to meet each other here.

Dico was the House-Elf assigned to him by Professor Weasley a hundred years ago, always taking care of his daily needs.

"Why are you here?" Harry asked joyfully. "I once went to the Room of Requirement to look for you, but unfortunately, you weren't there."

Saying this, he walked inside.

Dico snapped his fingers to close the door.

"Miss Grindelwald sent Dico here," Dico said somewhat sadly, "But ever since then, Dico hasn't seen Miss Grindelwald again—how is she, Young Master Potter?"

"She..." Harry choked up.

Is she well?

Trapped in Slytherin's study...

"Later, Dico heard that Young Master Grindelwald did very terrible things," Dico noticed the change in Harry's expression and switched topics: "But it seemed Young Master Grindelwald was punished for it."

"Yes, he deserved it," Harry said, still seething, "You know what? Vivi had deposited over two million Golden Galleons in Gringotts! Over two million! And Gellert took it all! Not to mention, it included some precious alchemy materials and items that could save Vivi... all taken by him!"

"That's really awful," Dico commented sharply, "To do such things without Miss Grindelwald's and Young Master Potter's permission."

"Who wouldn't agree?" Harry chuckled. "If Vivi hears what Gellert did when she returns, she'll certainly give him a hard time."

"Give him a hard time!" Dico laughed. "So, have you met any other friends, Young Master Potter?"

"Oh, I have one."

Harry said, pulling Pabi out of his wallet.

"Who is this?" Dico asked curiously, "Master, I don't remember there being a unicorn in the Room of Requirement? I only recall a phoenix named Fiona, which seemed to be a companion of yours and Miss Grindelwald's."

"This is Pabi, Pabi Swedding," Harry said, patting Pabi, who was still sound asleep. When she showed no signs of waking, he playfully poked Pabi's sleep bubble.

"I'm not asleep, you know!" Pabi opened her eyes, groggily taking in her surroundings, "Where is this, Harry?"

"France," Harry answered succinctly, patting Pabi's neck. "Look, who is it?"

Pabi lowered her head and saw Dico.

"Oh, Dico," Pabi said with a cheerful smile, "Long time no see."

"Long time no see, Miss Swedding," Dico hesitated, tugging at Harry's sleeve, "Young Master Potter, what's going on? How did Miss Swedding turn into a unicorn?"

"It's the aftereffect of the Magic Animagus," Harry shrugged, "I don't know how to help her either, so I'm hoping Mr. Leme might have some alchemical materials that could save Vivi, or maybe even a solution to turn Pabi back into her human form."

"Oh," Dico nodded, and said to Harry, "Then you'll have to wait a bit, Young Master Potter. Mr. and Mrs. Leme just fell asleep not long ago, and as you know, older people sleep more lightly than younger ones."

"Alright, I'm in no rush," Harry said, patting Pabi's thigh, "Dico, let us sit for a while."

Dico glanced at Harry's actions and was tempted to remind Harry not to do that.

Even if Miss Swedding is a unicorn now, one shouldn't treat a lady in such a manner—for Young Master Potter's own safety, Dico considered, in case Miss Grindelwald sees this...
