"Hi Hacker" A robotic voice spoke masking the true caller's voice. The caller continued as Fidelia kept quiet.
"You hacked me back and wiped all my funds in my acct, I was able to track your location down while you were doing that. I suggest you return the money back to where it came from"
Fidelia couldn't hold back the laughter " I know it's you Damien drop the act…the same way your hacker tracked me down it the same way I used to do the same….so drop the act" and then Damien went quiet and Fidelia could hear him smash something where he was and cursed.
"You are quite a smart girl Fidelia, but there are times you shouldn't play smart and so are people you shouldn't get smart with"
Hearing his voice, Fidelia inhaled with her eyes closed when she spoke and kept the phone on speaker Andrian heard the voice and it then got his attention.
Meanwhile, he was wondering why the man was calling Fidelia. It probably was something evil or bad. Damien was up to something. He wanted to talk when Fidelia told him to stop with a hand signal.
"What do you want, Damien?"
"You see, you have something I want. Something that belongs to me. And you stole it. I want it back."
Fidelia scoffed. "You want it back? Then why did you steal in the first place?"
"That was never your business. Why did you interfere?"
"Because you wanted to wreck the husband I'm to marry I couldn't let you"
"It seems like you are not planning on returning it back, right?" Damien said and continued seeing as she kept quiet.
"You really don't want to mess with me, do you?"
"Well… I'll say likewise….your plan was to wreck Andrian and I stopped that from happening. What's bad about that?...I even did you a favour considering you both are brothers I didn't tell him"
"I have only blood brother and its Charles so I don't know what you are talking about and I'm not interested in such discussion"
"I'll make you a deal. Whatever mess you're in right now you and Andrian..ill sort it out. "
"..you've been popular these days. News of you assaulting a patient in the hospital, I can take this further than you think and guess what? I can help.
I can put lawyers on it, make this worse, drag you down behind the scenes or I can settle everything, wipe the charges clean. Erase the videos and news about you online. But…" He paused. "…you return my money. Every cent."
Fidela kept quiet. She was thinking. She was really in a mess now. His offer was quite good. If it was probably a friend that gave that offer, she would have accepted it. But the man? She didn't trust him at all.
"You know what? Fine. I'll take your deal."
Damien couldn't believe what he heard he was silent for a second before he finally spoke
"Good… good. You've made the right choice," Damien said. "Now, you can also speak to that stubborn brother of mine. Tell him to let me absorb AliSocialTech. I'll pay him a good amount for it. Once that's done, everything will be settled.
I'll convince my grandmother about your marriage and then you both can finally move on with issues, marry, and we'll both get what we want. Everyone lives happily ever after, don't you think?"
Fidelia's voice was low. "I'll speak to Andrean about it. But you must also keep your bargain."
"I will, I definitely will without question." Damien said over the phone "Now when should I expect the transfer back?"
Fidelia hesitated, her thoughts racing. "It's… going to take some time."
Damien's facial expressions changed where he was. "Time? I need that money now."
She calmly said as though she was defeated. "I can't transfer everything at once. Part of it's already been invested. I bought into a company. If I move it all immediately, I'll end up in the hands of the NBI again and I won't let that happen."
Damien didn't speak for a moment, his jaw tightening. Finally, he gave his approval he didn't think she could try to play smart about it as he was definitely sure they were in a tight corner.
"Alright. You know how to get it done. But listen carefully..." his voice became thick as he spoke slowly in a threatening manner"I won't make a single move until I see that money...my full money"
Fidelia forced a calm smile. "No problem."
Throughout the whole chat Andrian couldn't have been more pissed he was squeezing his hands so hard that it was getting pale.
"You knew it was Damien didn't you and yet you didn't say anything about it… tell me are you on his side or mine!!!"
He was quite pissed with the fact that Fidelia knew that it was Damien that was behind his hacking and she didn't say anything to him she kept quiet, took a pen and wrote down a sentence. Then she passed it to him and spoke.
"After he hacked the account, I was able to track the location of the hacker back to the person and I figured out it was Damien's address. I wasn't sure whether I should tell you or not… you guys are both brothers" Fidela tried to explain why she didn't say anything
"Brothers?...didn't you hear what he said?" Andrian shot right back at her tossing the paper away stamping his feet on the ground.
"I understand you are angry but now is telling you he's going to solve the issue…" she said again but instead of him calming down his anger rose, he slammed his hands on his table and took the mug and threw it on the wall of his office
"But you still didn't say anything about it!"
"You fucking kept quiet about it!"
"I had every damn right to be aware!" Andrian was getting pissed the more he thought about it and he was losing control of his emotions.
"You know what, let's forget the marriage..I'm done" Andrian said in a deep voice that anger could still be detected in it.
"No no you can't say that" Fidelia said in a voice that sounded as if she was at the edge of breaking down.
His secretary came in upon hearing the noise but she was here because of a news that came up.
"Sir, the stakeholders are selling off their shares as fast as possible. We need to do something as fast as possible about it…at this point we might lose everything to our competitors"
"We can't let that happen buy back the shares as fast as possible, it shouldn't get in the hands of them!!"
"But sir we don't have enough to do so" She complained to him.
"Get a loan! Borrow..just do whatever it takes to buy the share back.. Alisocial Tech has a lot of potential. If we launch the product first we can gain back lots of profit and recover from this loss. Now go!" Andrian screamed at her and focused back on Fidelia.
"Andrian just give the shares back to Damien and he would solve everything. He made a deal with me" Fidela tried talking to him to understand from her end.
"What are you still doing here… get out now I told you the marriage is off" Andrian said in a loud voice.
"Fine whatever…rot in hell!" Fidelia said annoyed at him and then she turned to leave and slammed the door behind her as she exited his office.
On her way out she held up her phone and saw that the call with Damien was still on then suddenly it ended.
Then she smiled…
