Chapter 5 - Rhaegar II Witcher II

In the name of the Warrior, I charge you to be brave. In the name of the Father, I charge you to be just. In the name of the Mother, I charge you to defend the young and innocent. In the name of the Maid, I charge you to protect all women. Rise as a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms."

"Now, what shall we call our newest Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Ser?" questioned the King.

The Witcher stood up, taking his hood off as he did.

"Jon Snow, your Grace. Jon Snow."

Pandemonium ensued.

Jon Snow II

When the King told him to kneel, he knew what was coming. He decided to comply since he knew it might quite aptly help him get his revenge. As the King said the oath, he thought, 'I guess I have one more thing in common with Geralt now other than my hair.'

As he rose, towering over the King by close to a foot, the King asked his name. He replied, "Jon Snow." As he rose, pandemonium erupted. The King went pale; he looked like he'd seen a ghost, and the Queens behind him did as well.

'*Interesting. Their heartbeats have accelerated quite a bit,**' thought Jon.

The King then asked, "Jon Snow, the bastard son of Eddard Stark?"

Jon smirked. "Yes, the very same."

"It was said you were lost in the Wolfswood and died."

The Witcher then said, "What happens when the lady and lord of the castle wish to get rid of bastards, your Grace? It just so happens their knives did not stick the way they intended."

If pandemonium had erupted before, it was even greater now. The Lady of Winterfell, Catelyn Tully, was screaming, "Lies! All lies! The bastard of Winterfell is dead!"

The Witcher stepped forward. "Are you questioning my word as a knight? If so, then I challenge you to a Trial by the Seven. Choose your champions."

Lady Catelyn then stepped towards the King. "She said, 'Please, Grace, he's a creature of lust and sin, accursed by the Seven! Look at his eyes; they reveal his true nature! He cannot have this trial!'"

The King was furious when she said this. He replied coldly, "Choose champions."

Eddard then stepped forward. "Jon, is that really you?"

"Jon, yes it is."

"Jon, I thought you were dead."

"You say that like you didn't have anything to do with it. Or did your wife decide to take Stark guards out to the Wolfswood to stab a bastard seven times in the chest without your knowledge?"

Jon then took off his shirt. Under the Wolf amulet, there were seven stab wounds along with multiple other scars from his years of monster hunting.

"I swear, Jon, I had nothing to do with this."

Jon listened to his heart rate. "Huh. You are not lying. However, that changes nothing. The trial will still go on."

The King then said, "Catelyn Stark of House Tully, choose your seven knights by tomorrow. The trial will happen then."

The King then went over to Jon with his Queens in tow. "I can have six more knights assigned to you by tomorrow. Arthur and the Kingsguard will join you."

"I will not need them," Jon replied, and then said to Queen Lyanna, "It is nice to meet you, Aunt," and turned around, walking out of the Red Keep. He did not see the tears forming in Lyanna's eyes.

Jon proceeded to walk to a local inn and prepare his weapons for the morning.
