"Can we fill it with ice cream and pudding cups?" Liora asked eagerly.
"If your brother agrees, we'll fill a whole shelf." Laura promised, giving a gentle kiss on Liora's hair.
Beside the fridge, a marble island stretched long enough for a banquet. Julian ran a calloused hand over its surface and marveled. "This stone feels cooler than ice, even in this sunshine."
Liora pointed at the induction cooktop. Digital numbers flickered on. "In Culinary Princess, the chef had one of these! She made rainbow steak!"
"Rainbow steak?" Julian blinked. "Is that… edible?"
"It sparkles!" Liora declared, the blanket sliding a bit as she gestured wildly. Laura adjusted her grip with a smile.
They eased down a hallway toward a private library. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves formed a maze with an automated ladder gliding along silent rails.
Laura gently settled Liora onto a padded swivel chair at the rolling desk so she could spin and see everything.
