Chapter 4 - Chapter 3 – The Investigation

🕊️ U.A. High – Principal's Office

Rain poured outside the massive glass windows of U.A. High.

Inside, Principal Nezu sat perched on his chair, sipping tea as holographic screens flickered before him.

A paused video displayed a car crash surrounded by a halo of golden light.

The door opened with a rustle of feathers.

> Hawks: "Yo, Principal Nezu. Heard you wanted to see me about that 'miracle healer' thing."

> Nezu: "Ah, Hawks! Excellent timing. We were just reviewing the footage provided by Recovery Girl. Please, take a seat."

The young hero folded his crimson wings and leaned casually against the desk, though his golden eyes were sharp — scanning every frame of the glowing phenomenon.

🎥 The Footage

The video began.

A night soaked in rain.

A car losing control, colliding against a pole.

A woman and child trapped inside, flames licking the edges of the wreck.

Then — a girl appeared through the smoke.

Her silhouette bathed in soft golden light, six small orbs orbiting her like spirits.

With a single whisper, the flames recoiled, the metal straightened, and the wounds of the victims reversed.

When the light vanished, the car — and the people — were untouched.

> Recovery Girl: "It's as if time itself rewound. But I felt no quirk signature. No biological trigger. Just… pure energy."

> Nezu: "Not Rewind, not Healing. Something older. Something… spiritual."

> Hawks: "And the girl?"

> Recovery Girl: "Gone before heroes arrived. Vanished without a trace."

💬 Theories and Tension

Hawks crossed his arms, brows furrowed.

> "The Commission's been on edge since this hit their radar. They're calling her The Golden Ghost. People think it's a new quirk or a vigilante trick."

Nezu twitched his tail thoughtfully.

> "A ghost who heals instead of harms. Quite the twist."

> Recovery Girl: "She didn't feel malicious, Hawks. Whoever she is, she wanted to save those people."

> Hawks: "Yeah, well, the problem is—someone else out there's gonna notice this kind of power too."

Nezu's gaze sharpened.

> "You mean the underworld?"

> Hawks: "Exactly. If word reaches the wrong ears, we'll have more than reporters chasing her."

🧩 Elsewhere – Shie Hassaikai Underground

Far beneath the city, within cold, sterile corridors, Kai Chisaki (Overhaul) adjusted his gloves.

Beside him, a small, trembling girl with white hair — Eri — stood silently, her bandaged arm clutched to her chest.

One of his subordinates entered hastily.

> Chronostasis: "Boss, you'll want to see this. News report just aired — footage of a healer who 'reversed' an accident. No quirk signature found."

Chisaki's golden eyes narrowed behind his mask.

> "Reversed, you say? Not healed?"

> Chronostasis: "Exactly. Like it never happened."

A slow smile spread beneath Chisaki's mask — cold and calculating.

> "Interesting. Sounds familiar, doesn't it, Eri?"

The little girl flinched. Chisaki crouched, brushing a gloved hand against her head.

> "Relax. I'm not angry. But if someone else out there can undo damage the way you do… it means my theory was right."

He straightened, pacing.

> "There's more than one kind of 'rejection of fate' in this world. Find her."

> Chronostasis: "You want her brought here?"

> Overhaul: "Alive. If she truly rejects reality… she might perfect the Quirk Erasure project faster than I anticipated."

The lights flickered in the underground hall.

Eri's small hands trembled — sensing another kind soul somewhere out there, just like her, who might be in danger now too.

---

🏫 Back at U.A.

Nezu replayed the video once more, eyes gleaming with quiet curiosity.

> Nezu: "To 'reject' damage rather than reverse it… the distinction matters. What if her ability doesn't manipulate time or biology at all — but reality itself?"

> Hawks: "You're saying she tells the world something didn't happen… and the world listens?"

> Nezu: "Precisely."

> Recovery Girl: "That's beyond any quirk classification. It's divine."

> Hawks: (half-smile) "Then we're dealing with a goddess, huh?"

> Nezu: "Perhaps. Or a frightened girl with too much kindness for this world."

🌸 Meanwhile – Orihime's Apartment

The night sky over Musutafu shimmered faintly.

Orihime leaned against her balcony railing, drying her hair after a shower.

She stared at the lights below — heroes patrolling, people laughing, a city full of life she never had in Karakura.

> Ayame: "You feel that too, don't you?"

Orihime: "Mm. Someone's looking for us again."

Tsubaki: "Hah. Let them try. I doubt they can see what doesn't want to be seen."

Orihime smiled faintly, tucking her hairpin into place.

> "I don't want to fight anyone. I just… want to protect people, quietly."

The soft hum of her power flickered in the air — warm, golden, and invisible.

Far away, a red feather drifted across the night sky, heading toward her.

---

🪶 Back at U.A.

> Hawks: "You sure you want me watching this one, Nezu? If she's that powerful, she might not like being followed."

> Nezu: "Observation, not pursuit. We don't hunt miracles — we learn from them."

> Hawks: (smirks) "Got it. I'll keep my eyes open. If she's out there, I'll find her."

> Nezu: "Just don't fall for her, Hawks."

> Hawks: "What, me? Fall for a mystery girl who glows like sunshine? Never."

But as he turned to leave, he couldn't help but grin.

> "Still… would be nice to meet her."

🌙 End Scene – The Feather and the Flower

The rain finally stopped.

Orihime sat by her window, gazing at the single feather that had landed there the night before.

She turned it in her fingers, smiling softly.

> "A red feather… Maybe it's good luck."

Outside, in the distance, a pair of golden eyes watched from above — curious, patient, and faintly hopeful.
