Over the next couple of days I was given more information on what's going to be happening for the next couple months. The place will shut down to be transformed into a more Christmas theme with a sick twist, it's honestly not a bad idea, we won't reopen again until Thanksgiving weekend but I won't be here since I already have that deal made to go on my break. I'll just be working the weekends like always even though the place is closed so it's easy money just making sure nobody tries to steal anything. Sunday comes, it's my birthday, a day that usually should be filled with fun and happiness… But for me I wake up and don't feel anything. my phone is blowing up with family and friends texting me birthday messages but I still feel nothing, I've been through a lot lately and it's just killed my mood. As I'm sitting at the edge of my bed I get a text from Mr.Hill
"Good morning Jay can you please come to my office ASAP"
"I'll be there"
I get up, wash up and head to the office still in the clothes I went to sleep in. I walk into the office and Hill is there waiting for me, he sees me and a big smile crosses his face
"Jay, happy birthday!!"
Thanks… how'd you know it was my birthday?"
"Well your paper work when you applied has your birth date on it"
"Oh yeah forgot about that"
"But anyways happy birthday, how old are you?"
"Twenty one"
"Ohhhh nice! Well I called you in to say imma give you the day off for your birthday"
"Oh thanks…"
"You got any plans today?"
"No"
"Why not? It's your twenty first birthday"
"Not really feeling it"
"Why?!?"
"First of all I'm over a thousand miles away from home, I have no friends anymore and in all honesty I'm just drained mentally, physically and emotionally"
"You have friends here"
"No disrespect but yall ain't my friends, just coworkers"
"That's hurtful"
"Sorry to disappoint you"
"Come on let us have at least a little something for you"
"I'm alright, I'll just be in my RV, thanks for the day off though"
I walk out and head back to my RV, I head inside and begin to walk to my room when I feel someone behind me but before I can turn around a dark bag is placed over my face, I try to fight back but I'm knocked out by whatever the person used against me. By the time I come to I don't know how much time has passed, as my vision comes back to me I can't even tell where I'm at.
"Ughhh where the fuck am I?"
I stand up and I see a sign with an arrow, I get closer and read the sign
"This way for your birthday gift… what the fuck is this?"
I start walking towards the direction the sign pointed me too and I realize I'm in one of the mazes. As I make my way through the maze I'm just talking to myself
"This is some bullshit, I just wanted to relax for my birthday but here I am walking through a maze for whatever the fuck is waiting for me at the end of this. Fuck me"
I keep walking through the empty maze and still talking to myself
"Jesus Christ this maze is fucking long, at least they could've thrown some jump scares to make it not boring"
I continue my way through the maze until I finally hit the end of it where it comes to a big room full of balloons and other birthday decorations, colorful lights, music playing, poles and a random big ass bed in the middle of everything.
"Ummmm oooookaaaay"
I'm just standing there confused at what's going on. After a minute I see Cherry walk in with her full makeup and wearing some type of lace lingerie.
"Oh get the fuck out of here"
"Surprised to see me?"
"I wish I could say yes, but why am I not surprised that you're here"
"Oh it's not just me"
Then two more girls walk in, full makeup and lingerie also
"Uhhhh who are they?"
"Just a couple of my girl friends, we all work together"
"I've never seen them before"
"Don't worry about it"
"Ooookaaaay…. Well imma just head out"
I head towards the door and I try to open it but it's locked from the outside.
"What the fuck? Why is this door locked?"
Cherry starts to slowly walk towards me
"You can't leave, you have to get your gift first"
"Ummmm im good, thanks though"
Cherry grabs my hand and starts bringing me over to the bed
"Don't worry we won't hurt you… At least not too bad"
She pushes me on the bed and comes close to whisper in my ear
"Just relax babe"
She then backs up and winks at me before walking back to the other two girls. Soon after that song party monster by The Weeknd starts playing and they start stripping, clothes start to come off and I'm trying not to watch what's going on but I keep taking quick glances. I know Hill set this up, he ain't doing this out the kindness of his heart, he's doing this to try to convince me to stick around longer than the next couple of months…. I see right through this bullshit. I get up off the bed and start looking for a way out, the music stops and then I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and it's Cherry.
"Where are you going?"
"Look I appreciate all this but to be honest I'm not in the mood for all this"
"Huh why's that?"
"You wouldn't understand"
"Why do you say that?"
"It's nothing just leave it alone. Can you let me out please?"
"Well I can't"
"Why not?!?"
"Because Hill told us…"
"Of fucking course, I knew this was his plan"
"He just wanted to do something for your birthday"
"Yeah sure he did… please just let me leave"
"But…"
"Cherry…. Please"
Cherry takes a deep breath, then goes to unlock the exit door. I walk over and stop before I leave
"Hey Cherry"
"Yeah.."
"You know you can say no right?"
Cherry stands there silent, I walk away before she can respond. I head to the RV and stay there until I head back to campus, this birthday sucked but next year it should be better.
