Money is not everything, but it is all-powerful.
"I wouldn't be surprised if hundreds of troublemakers and opponents popped up... I didn't expect there to be only thirty or so."
"Those directors, they're useless when given opportunities."
Clark shook his head, a hint of regret in his voice.
If this matter really blows up, then under the overwhelming influence of the fishing boats, these directors, as the parties involved, might still be able to save their lives.
After all, the influence of fishing vessels is only really useful if it causes a big fuss.
If the impact of the fishing vessel is not significant, or is only moderate, Clark could easily give Happy a call.
Stark Group's money could easily wipe out the influence of some fishing boats.
Therefore...
These board members were given a chance, a chance to save their own lives, but they didn't appreciate it!
Jean, walking behind Clark, asked in a low voice upon hearing this:
"Should those troublemaking students really be expelled completely?"
Clark glanced at her, his gaze indifferent:
"St. Kent Academy doesn't have an elementary school section, only a middle school and a university section. They're not children anymore. They have to take responsibility for what they do. If there's no punishment for wrongdoing, what's the point of having a police inspector?"
"Since they dare to cause trouble in the academy, I dare to expel them. If they have any complaints, they can come to me."
"As the principal, I'll take on anything that comes my way."
Clark took on everything.
Jean lowered her head slightly and did not object.
With the old headmaster gone, as far as Jean Grey knows, no one can keep Clark in check anymore.
All the words in the world can be summed up in one sentence:
"As long as the old principal's hard work is not wasted, you can handle everything else."
Clark did not respond directly.
The two of them had already arrived at the principal's office door.
Pushing open the door, I saw several well-dressed men inside.
Clark glanced at it and nodded slightly:
"You've all arrived perfectly; I don't need to go looking for you."
His voice was cold and unfriendly.
One of the directors frowned upon hearing this:
"Principal Clark, what do you mean by that?"
Although he addressed Clark as "Principal," the board member showed absolutely no respect in his words.
headmaster?
He's just an eighteen-year-old kid. Giving him a respectful address is already showing him respect. To give Clark any more respect would be disrespectful to oneself!
He's not like Old Kent, whose reputation justifies such respect!
Clark didn't even look up; his fingers tapped on the wooden board, a tapping sound that seemed to strike the hearts of everyone present, causing an involuntary tremor.
"I know you don't get along with the old man. After all, he's been blocking your path to wealth, so it's normal for you to have some resentment."
"But no matter what, you've known the old man for decades, at least a decade or more. I thought I would see you in the cemetery today but obviously, you've disappointed me."
Clark continued talking to himself, completely ignoring the director's question.
As the brows of the board members furrowed even more, Clark spoke again:
"If you go to the cemetery today, I will think more highly of you."
"And the end result is that you had no intention of going to the cemetery to pay your respects to the old man. Instead, you were planning to ruin his hard work you really are his good friends!"
I don't know when it started, but the voice had become somewhat cold.
The board members exchanged glances, clearly not quite understanding what Clark meant.
Jean glanced at the board members out of the corner of her eye, her face expressionless.
Foolish people all have their own ways of seeking death.
The reason the former principal was able to protect you was because he knew you; you were friends!
Anyone with a conscience should go to the cemetery to pay their respects. For the sake of this matter, putting everything else aside, saving their lives shouldn't be a problem.
However, after the old headmaster passed away, instead of going to pay your respects, you secretly instigated students to cause trouble, intending to incite a rebellion at St. Kent College!
After several twists and turns, who else but you will die? Without the old headmaster's restraint, Clark has never been a particularly kind person by nature!
The only difference is when you die, or how you die.
Jean had already decided the fate of these people in her heart.
...
"Principal Clark, such a terrible thing happened on the playground. I think you should find a way to resolve it, instead of violently suppressing the protesting students."
Several directors clearly failed to grasp the seriousness of the matter and instead immediately began to question others!
Clark didn't even look up, just waved to Jean.
Jean nodded, opened her briefcase, took out some documents, and handed them to everyone one by one.
The document was brief, just a simple contract.
The meaning expressed above is also very straightforward:
Asset transfer and equity change.
Completely relinquish your shares and position at St. Kent College, leave with nothing, and receive financial compensation afterward.
The board members were furious.
What's wrong with Old Kent's adopted son? Does he even have a brain?
"Principal Clark, what's the deal with this share transfer agreement?"
One of the directors looked grim:
"You know the old principal's management skills. We didn't receive any dividends from our investment in St. Kent College. Now you're trying to take back our power isn't that inappropriate?"
Clark finally replied:
"Dividend income? Equity assets?"
"Have you ever cared about these things? Aren't you still concerned about those special needs students in the school?"
Several board members felt a jolt of surprise, their eyes flashing with astonishment:
This young upstart, does he know the inside story? Does he know our true purpose?
Clark concluded by saying:
"Now you should sign the contract obediently. As for the financial compensation, I will notify Stark Industries to provide it to you. That's it for now."
This matter certainly doesn't count.
However, on the surface, Clark still tried his best to maintain a civilized demeanor.
After all, they are the heads of a school, so they certainly can't just take it by force; they have to be more tactful.
Clearly, the directors disagreed, sneering and retorting directly:
"I think Principal Clark should go to the hospital to get his head checked!"
"You may own the most shares and have the most power, but you can't just kick us aside like that Stark Corporation won't do!"
Let's reason with each other! Let's talk about the law!
The Stark Group can't act like a rogue!
Clark remained calm as always:
"I hope you have the guts not to sign."
A voice, seemingly familiar yet not quite, echoed in the principal's office.
Several directors felt that these words sounded familiar.
One of the brighter-minded ones suddenly widened his eyes.
This sentence... wasn't it something they casually mentioned during their discussion just now?
Looking at Clark sitting there silently, the director seemed to have a divine inspiration and made the best decision of the day.
He stepped forward, gritted his teeth, signed his name, and then left without looking back.
Clark glanced at his retreating figure and nodded slightly.
"Made a wise choice."
Jean, standing to the side, looked puzzled and asked in a low voice:
"Are you going to let him go?"
Clark's lips curled up in a smile:
"No, he's just quick-witted, so he can suffer less."
