Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Continuing to walk forward with Vain in his arms, Uncle Ale pushed open a door that led to a small washroom that had a sink, bathtub, and a small coal stove with a chimney pipe attached to it. Seeing the state of the washroom, Vain thought for the first time that maybe the world he was recently sent was similar to the old world he was in. After all, he had seen the bow and arrow Uncle Ale hunted with, the clothes he and the second bitch mother wore, and now the commodities in the washroom. They all pointed to the world being extremely similar to his last one. Honestly speaking though, Vain didn't care at all. He died as a homeless man after all, he didn't have any of his previous worlds advantages anyway. Realizing that there was no time before he was going to be stripped of his dignity, Vain put up his final struggle. This little tantrum caught Uncle Ale by surprise becuase little baby Vain was so well behaved this entire time, but Uncle Ale didnt care. Vain smelled bad and definitely needed a bath immediately. Ultimately, it was useless for him to struggle and after just a short while,Vain completely accepted his fate. Meanwhile, elsewhere, while Vain was being mercilessly washed and cared for, there was a vast and grand hall. This hall was at least one hundred meters wide and one hundred meters long, it was magnificent and gave off slight feelings of oppression and desolation. It was extremely solem. Inside this hall there was a total of fifteen people. These people were the ten elders in the council, three of the young princes ( the second, third, and fifth prince) the Empress and the Emperor. These people were all members of the Nanlong family, one of the Human Seven Greats ( The top Seven Clans or Sects of the Rem continent). They were in the midst of a dour conversation when the Emperor asked, "So which one of you wishes to go to the Northern Region for the prodigal gathering In four years?" The hall remained silent. No one wished to go to the Northern Region. It was ice cold, the creatures there all had thick, tough fur hides, and a nasty temper. Seeing no one speak up, the Emperor was very disappointed. He said with a glint of disapproval in his eyes "Well if someone can find the first prince, then we could just send him." The silent room became even more silent. This is because everyone currently in the hall knew that the first prince threw away his title of first prince and fled after the countless efforts of the Empress and the three princes currently in the room. The Empress was the mother of the second and fifth prince while the third prince was the son of one of her trusted maids. On the other hand, the first prince was the bastard of the Emperor and a servant woman. There was no comparison in terms of bloodline, but in terms of talent and potential it was completely different. The first prince was a born prodigy, a natural born talent, a complete monster compared to the rest of the peers in his generation. However, because of this unfathomable talent, the Empress and her sons made sure to put an indescribable amount of pressure on him, constantly ostracizing him, setting him up with false accusations and etcetera. The first prince could only handle it for so long and after a few years of adulthood, he fled. He didnt pack any of his belongings nor did he tell anyone he was leaving. He only left a note saying, "Have fun without me."

Of course the Emperor was extremely unhappy with their actions, but what could he do? The title of Emperor wasn't so simple as he could do whatever he wanted to and could get away with it. No. His wife the Empress, also came from an extremely powerful family and that family's support was one of the main reasons he could become the Emperor. Everyone else in the room knew all of this and that's what made this situation extremely awkward. Because in fact, if the first prince was here everyone would absolutely push the responsibility to him. Also, the fact that everyone present knew what the letter the prince left said made their faces red with embarrassment and regret. The three princes especially missed the first prince because they hated the fact they had to take on all of his responsibilities, not because he was their eldest brother. "Ok its been decided, I'll send the second prince. You can take a few of the elders with you to ensure your safety along the way." The Emperor said in a sonorus voice ending the awkward silence. "Yes, thank you your majesty." The second prince said not daring to refute him. "Ok, that ends this discussion. Everyone is dismissed." The Emperor said. Everyone left, even the Empress left not daring to stay by her husband's side when he was upset. After everyone left, the Emperor slowly raised his head looking at the grandoise ceiling and let out a deep sigh and said "I hope you're safe." Back at the cabin, Vain was all washed up and squeaky clean. He felt like dying from the embarrassment but soon realized that he would have to go through this many, many more times. He was unwilling but of course he had no choice. How is a newborn supposed to wash themselves? Coming face to face with this reality, Vain decided to grit his teeth and not throw anymore tantrums when it came to Uncle Ale bathing him. After all, Uncle Ale was also just trying his best. After completely cleaning Vain head to toe, Uncle Ale was satisfied and said with a self appreciative smile, "Little Fella, you don't smell like shit anymore." Vain almost exploded. He had just endured an unbelievable humiliation and was coming to terms with being washed by another man. Now he even had to be teased. But what could he do?

After Uncle Ale washed up Vain, he took Vain to the shed where he set down the carcasses of the White Rabbit and Round Ear Wolf. He then took Vain's little measurements and started to cut out clothes that were roughly his size. After doing this, Uncle Ale finished dressing the carcasses and hung up their hides to dry. While he was waiting for the hides to dry out, Uncle Ale took Vain and his new little clothes to the water basin that was just inside the wooden shed and started to fully prepare Vain's new clothes. After just a short amount of time, Uncle Ale had fully finished Vain's new clothes. This entire process of dressing the creatures carcasses, measuring Vain, making the clothes for him, and washing them only took Uncle Ale about an hour. This made it very clear to Vain that Uncle Ale was extremely competent and skillful when it came to doing these tasks. Vain gained more respect for Uncle Ale after realizing he must have done these things many times for him to be so skilled at them. Trying on his new clothes, Vain was a bit uncomfortable but it wasn't bad enough for him to complain. Seeing that Vain wasn't crying or making a pouty face, Uncle Ale was extremely satisfied. "Haha little fella, can't you believe how good I am?" Vain was sure that Uncle Ale was a very skilled and a technical person, but he still wasnt sure about Uncle Ale's personality. Would a normal person be bragging to a baby? Vain didn't think so. Picking Vain back up, Uncle Ale went inside with some of the meat he got off of the rabbit and started a fire to make some rabbit stew. After he was finished eating the stew, he poured out some of the broth into a smaller bowl and tried giving a little to Vain. Vain wasn't in the mood to eat after everything that had happened to him today, so he didn't open his mouth to drink any of the broth that Uncle Ale was trying to give to him. "C'mon little fella, you've gotta eat something." Vain kept his mouth shut and kept swinging his head side to side. Uncle Ale said, "Alright little fella. But don't go waking me up in the middle of the night when you're hungry." Vain nodded. Of course Uncle Ale didnt think anything of Vain's head motions, how could a baby understand him? After cleaning up the dishes, Uncle Ale took Vain to the bedroom and placed him in the basket he had found Vain in. Uncle Ale had gone to clean the basket but to his surprise, there was only some residue left by the Round Ear Wolf, There was no blood or anything else at all. Uncle Ale quickly tied this to when he saw Vain absorbing the Round Ear Wolf's blood and then he didn't bother to pay any attention to this matter. After Uncle Ale placed Vain in the basket, he covered Vain in a very light cloth that looked close to silk and set the basket next to him on the bed. "Good night little fella." Uncle Ale said looking at Vain. Vain couldn't help but cry. Even though he had twenty years of experience from his previous life, he couldn't remember a single time when he was treated so well by someone else. Just like that, the two of them fell asleep.

It was the next morning when Vain woke up. It was a peaceful night and pairing all of the events from the day before, Vain slept effortlessly. Vain looked around but couldn't see Uncle Ale therefore, he just went deep into his thoughts trying his best to recollect all of his memories from the day before. Vain felt that he was just starting to recollect something that was important when Uncle Ale walked in, "Oh, good morning little fella, how long have you been up? I would've came in sooner if I knew. Ok, let's get you something to eat." Vain hadn't thought about it before, but indeed now that he had, he was absolutely starving. Uncle Ale continued to pick Vain up and took him to the kitchen. He had him try the White Rabbit broth and Vain found it delicious, he drank quite a bit before his little belly was full. "Damn, little fella you almost ate as much as me" Uncle Ale said with a smile exaggeratedly. After breakfast, Uncle Ale took Vain to the wooden shed and started preparing and smoking the rest of the meat they had gotten the day before. The days to come continued like this. It was extremely satisfying for both Vain and Uncle Ale. They hunted, took bathes, ate, and slept. Six months passed just like this. On this day, Uncle Ale and Vain just finished a hunt when Uncle Ale brought the carcass close to Vain so he could touch the blood on it. This was because Uncle Ale figured that it should be good for Vain since it was his natural born power. Seeing this, Vain reached out his small hand and touched the funny looking creature on its head where the arrow wound was and as he felt the inexplicable joy from absorbing the blood, he heard, "Rank nine Mutated Ordinary Three Eyed Stag blood absorbed, Rank increased to Unordinary Rank one from Ordinary Rank nine. Blood Essence acquired : Mutated Three Eyed Stag."
