Chapter 5 - DREAMS, PROMISES, AND MIDNIGHT TALKS

Chapter 5: Dreams, Promises, and Midnight Talks

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Future and Wisdom had grown inseparable — two hearts beating to the same song.

They still had their differences — she was fire, bold and playful; he was calm, steady, thoughtful — but together, they balanced perfectly.

One quiet night, after dinner at a small Italian café by the Thames, they walked along the river, city lights shimmering across the water. Future leaned on the railing, watching the reflections dance.

"Do you ever think about the future?" she asked suddenly, smiling at the unintentional pun of her own name.

Wisdom chuckled. "Every day. Especially my Future."

She rolled her eyes playfully. "Smooth talker."

But when she looked at him again, his gaze was serious — soft, but full of meaning.

"I mean it," he said. "I think about us. About what we could build together."

She turned toward him, her heart skipping a beat. "You do?"

He nodded. "You know how I love designing buildings?"

"Of course," she smiled. "You could make the sky jealous."

"Well," he continued, "I've started designing something else — not a building, but a life. One with you in it."

Future's lips parted slightly. The words settled into her heart like a gentle sunrise.

"Wisdom…" she whispered.

He took her hands. "I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know I want every tomorrow with you."

The world seemed to slow down — just their breath, the river, the stars.

Future smiled softly. "You know what's funny?"

"What?"

"When I met you that day in the rain, I thought it was just another moment. But now… it feels like it was written somewhere. Like God planned it."

Wisdom brushed her cheek with his thumb. "Then maybe we're just walking through His story — together."

They stood there, holding each other, while the city glowed around them.

No promises written on paper, no rings yet — just two hearts that already knew they belonged.
