Our powers collided with force that shattered what remained of the throne room.
Silver fire met cold moonlight. Ascended mortal met desperate goddess. Breaking met hollow.
The impact created shockwave that rippled through the palace, through the void, through reality itself. Stars outside went nova from the pressure. The glass floor beneath us vaporized completely.
We were suspended now in pure cosmic void, fighting on nothing but will and power.
Luna's moonlight wrapped around me like serpents, trying to crush. To constrict. To bind the way chains had bound.
But I had wings now. Had transformation born from breaking. Had divinity that came from choice instead of fear.
I tore through her moonlight with silver fire, scattering it like smoke.
"You can't win this." Luna's voice came from everywhere. "I'm eternal. I'm the Veil itself. You're just mortal playing at godhood."
"I'm mortal who chose breaking. That's stronger than eternity built on hollow."
