Somewhere between the day, a woman was spotted entering the mountain range. She clutched something close to her chest, as if protecting it with her very life. Her way of running indicated that someone was chasing her like a predator.
Soon after she entered the mountain range, a blizzard engulfed the mountain. The mysterious little thing she was hugging, as if her life depended on it, suddenly moved. It seems like it was a child, not more than a few months old. Watching the child sleeping so peacefully in her warmth broke her heart because soon she had to leave her child in that dangerous place. At a distance, the woman saw a cave. So they took refuge in it.
The baby woke up and smiled at the sight of his mother. The woman was dirty at that time, yet her beauty was undeniable. She had fair skin and golden locks. At her sight, the baby was cooing cheerfully, and all of that got a sad smile as a reply. The baby was lovely in every possible way. His jet-black hair shimmered with a hint of blue, and his eyes shone in every exquisite shade of gold. But instead of human pupils, he had narrow vertical ones like a serpent's. It may look monstrous to others, but his mother loved his shining eyes.
She wished to raise him herself, but time betrayed her. It looked like the sky would clear up soon. Their hunters were not far behind and would catch them soon. So she made a cozy place in that cave to hide her child and said with a shaky tone, "If fate allows, we will meet again. But if we never meet again, I hope you will grow up to be a great man and take back what's rightfully yours." Saying that she kissed the baby's forehead and turned to walk away. The baby realized that this was the last time he would see his mother and began to wail. The mother's heart shattered at the pitiful cry, but it was the only way to protect him. With tear-filled eyes, she prayed to whatever god might hear her, begging protection for the child she was forced to abandon.
That day, even nature seemed to wail at the cruelty of their tragic fate.
