BlackStar_BH:
I have some good news for the readers of this fanfic on Webnovel.
Well, I listened to the advice and decided to speed up the story without affecting the core of the fanfic, which lies in the characters' reactions to the manga.
Starting from Chapter 100, you will notice a change in the speed of the narrative. Some events from the manga may be skipped, as that's part of what increasing the story's pace means.
In the advanced chapters on Patreon and Ko-fi, I've already begun the arc of Volume 6, where the Chunin Exam in the manga reaches its conclusion.
Greetings to all of you, and enjoy the chapter!

[— Manga Scene —]
Kakashi's hands moved at blinding speed as he performed an advanced jutsu seal.
Lightning chakra gathered violently around his clenched palm, restrained only by his other hand.
"Lightning Edge!!" he said.
'What?! That's enough chakra for it to be visible around his hand…' Zabuza broke into a cold sweat as he witnessed the technique.
"You are too dangerous."
"Tazuna-san—the man you're trying to kill—is this country's courage. The bridge he seeks to build is this country's hope."
Lightning flared wildly around Kakashi's hand, yet he did not stop speaking.
"Your ambition sacrifices countless people. That is not what a shinobi should be."
"I don't give a damn… I fight for my own ideals, and that will never change!!" Zabuza replied harshly.
"I'll ask one last time." Kakashi looked at Zabuza—rooted in place by the ninja dogs restraining him—and spoke for the final time.
"Surrender… your future is death."
[— End Scene —]
The sound of Lightning Edge, rendered as written onomatopoeia as Kakashi compressed chakra in his hand, was no mere literary flourish on manga pages—it was a physical scream that echoed through the Art Stores of all Five Great Villages.
The noise generated by the chakra concentration alone was enough to make veteran shinobi in Konoha instinctively place their hands on their weapons, as if the lightning would burst from the pages and tear through reality itself.
Some shinobi, deeply immersed in the moment, even felt chills run down their spines—as though they were inside the manga itself, watching, hearing, and living the moment alongside Zabuza.
Konohagakure
The Third Hokage was the first to break the stunned silence. His eyes widened as he analyzed the breathtaking artwork.
"This isn't a simple Lightning Release…"
Hiruzen whispered with deep admiration.
"It's the ultimate convergence of chakra nature and shape transformation. Kakashi has compressed lightning to the point where it becomes an invisible blade of pure energy. The speed… the focus… this is a perfect technique to kill."
"I assume the piercing power of this technique would be monstrous," he added.
Beside him, Namikaze Minato stared at Kakashi's technique in awe, thinking quietly:
'This method of chakra infusion… it feels familiar—for some reason…'
...
In an almost unnoticed corner of the Art Store, Jiraiya's eyes gleamed with deep respect.
"He really is Sakumo's son… Zabuza looks finished."
...
"Let's see how you dodge this now, you Kirir's bastard."
Tsunade snorted coldly, feeling a grim satisfaction as the story reached its decisive moment.
"What kind of technique is that? It looks insanely powerful!"
Beside her, her younger brother Nawaki stared in shock, his eyes reflecting the blue lightning surrounding Kakashi's hand.
'Do I need to master techniques like this… surpass these levels of power… if I want to become Hokage one day?'
Though ignorant of many things, the manga was already planting deep roots of awareness in the young boy's mind.
And not just his.
But in most children of his generation.
And even those older than him.
And especially among the elite.
At the forefront stood the White Fang—Sakumo Hatake, staring at the technique with bitterness mixed with pride.
"It's a dangerous technique…"
"The speed required makes it impossible for the user to see a counterattack—unless…"
"Unless he has the Sharingan!"
Uchiha Fugaku interrupted in a rough voice.
The Uchiha clan sat not far from Sakumo and his son. With the current chapters focusing heavily on the Hatake boy and the Sharingan, the Hatake family and the Uchiha clan had become a shared topic of discussion across all five villages.
Fugaku stared at Kakashi's crimson eye in the manga and felt electricity course through his body.
"Rubiro-san is showing us the perfect convergence between Hatake's genius and the Uchiha gift. This technique—Raikiri—was created to be completed by our eyes."
"Only part of that is correct," Sakumo replied calmly.
"What do you mean?" This time, Uchiha Hōgaku, Fugaku's father, interjected.
"The Sharingan's extraordinary dōjutsu abilities are indeed invaluable in completing this technique—but it can function just as effectively without it," Sakumo answered.
"In fact, the Sharingan places an incredible strain on Kakashi's chakra since he isn't an Uchiha to begin with. It may weaken the technique rather than strengthen it."
"What are you trying to say?"
Hōgaku's eyes narrowed, the three tomoe spinning rapidly—his aura turning openly hostile.
"What I'm saying is that Kakashi is already strong… even without the Sharingan."
Sakumo spoke calmly, as if he hadn't noticed the aggressive killing intent.
After all, violence wasn't truly possible inside the Art Store—Hōgaku's display was nothing more than empty dōjutsu posturing.
"Hmph…" Hōgaku snorted, turning away.
"Just ignore him," he said to his son.
"When Sasuke awakens, they'll understand what the Sharingan truly means."
Hōgaku was deeply confident that Sasuke wasn't dead—and that the Sharingan within him would one day reveal its true power.
He didn't know why.
It was simply a feeling.
Though everyone else believed Sasuke had truly died, he, Fugaku, and Mikoto all believed otherwise.
Young Kakashi trembled beneath his mask.
Because he wasn't merely seeing a technique— he was seeing his future, written in ink.
"Lightning Edge…" he whispered, his fingers moving instinctively, trying to mimic the depicted chakra flow.
"Don't rush," his father quickly stopped him.
"Some techniques can't be learned just by watching. This is one of them."
...
Kumogakure
The Third Raikage sat upright despite being wrapped in bandages, his expression tense.
"Konoha has produced another monster…" he growled quietly.
"We are the masters of lightning—but this 'Copy Ninja' has created something that surpasses most of our techniques in penetration."
"A, watch closely. This is the level a Kumo shinobi must surpass."
A remained silent, veins bulging along his neck.
He knew Kakashi in the manga was no longer just a character—he had become a new benchmark of power, one that would threaten his village's dominance in the future.
"I understand, Father. Let's first see the actual effect of the technique. This might all be flashy theatrics…"
"Flashy?"
"You don't understand…"
...
The page turned—and with it, the breath of thousands stopped.
As the thick mist began to thin, Kakashi charged forward with his Raikiri toward the immobilized Zabuza.
The end was clear.
Death was certain for the Demon of the Mist.
But in the final panel—
A fast-moving shadow appeared.
After narrowly evading Naruto's killing strike, Haku reappeared elsewhere, apologizing to Naruto.
An unexpected movement shattered all expectations.
Kakashi's hand pierced someone's chest.
Blood exploded across his face in a brutal scene that many children couldn't bear to watch—covering their eyes and trembling in fear.
Even Academy students reacted the same way.
[— Manga Scene —]
"Sorry, Naruto-kun!" Only moments earlier, Haku had begged for death.
Naruto, after a fierce internal struggle, had accepted his final wish—but at the last instant, Haku grabbed Naruto's arm, dodging the sharp kunai while apologizing.
"I can't die yet!!"
"Huh?" Naruto gasped as Haku vanished into the mist.
...
Lightning shattered the concrete beneath Kakashi's feet as he rushed forward.
His hand pierced flesh and bone—but it did not strike Zabuza.
Blood splattered across both Kakashi and Zabuza's faces as Haku appeared before Kakashi, gripping his arm with his last strength—his chest completely pierced by blue lightning.
He had leapt the instant he left Naruto's side, crossing an impossible distance to become his master's shield.
"Zabuza-san…" Haku said weakly as he lay dying.
"My future is death?"
"Heh… you're wrong again, Kakashi…" Zabuza replied coldly.
[— End Scene —]
A terrifying silence fell over the village of the Mist—heavier than the mist itself.
Young Zabuza dropped the volume from his hands.
He trembled uncontrollably.
"Why…?" he whispered bitterly.
"Why did you sacrifice yourself to save him—when he only ever saw you as a tool?"
He looked around and saw even the hired killers and the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist frozen in shock.
Young Jūzō Biwa wiped away a rebellious tear, while the Daimyō of Water snapped his fan shut sharply—his expression shifting from indifference to respect laced with disgust.
"This is the loyalty our world lacks…" the Daimyō said aloud.
"But it is a tragic loyalty—because it was given to someone who didn't deserve it."
...
Back to Konohagakure
Kushina could no longer hold back her tears.
"He was only searching for acknowledgment… at the very end of his life," she whispered painfully.
Minato gently patted her shoulder, his eyes fixed on Kakashi's face in the manga—
Kakashi, frozen in shock, realized he had just killed a child whose only wish was to feel accepted in this world.
...
Tsunade turned away from the page, her fist crushing the armrest.
"The shinobi world is cursed…" she muttered bitterly.
"We kill the most beautiful parts of ourselves in the name of missions."
"Why…? Why is that heartless Zabuza like this?! He died to protect him!"
Nawaki's eyes overflowed with tears—for Haku.
