"No-ort! Gimme back my echoes!"
"What's the matter?" Emily asked as Naib stepped into the dining room, yelling.
"My echoes are gone!" Naib exclaimed, frowning.
"I suspect the thief's behind this," Freddy commented.
"No one wants to listen to you," Naib said, but he then called, "Kreacher dammit, gimme back my echoes now!"
"Found them, Naib," Emma said, laughing as she pulled two reluctant men into the room with her.
"Thanks a bunch, Emma~ Nortonnn did you take my echoes?"
"No," Norton quickly denied.
"Kreacher, did you steal my echoes?"
"Why d'you think I stole your echoes?!"
"You're basically the thief, duh"
"Don't be so annoying!" Kreacher said and hit Freddy on the back. Hard.
"Ouch."
"Ooh Nai-bie?" Martha sang, twiddling with her gun, "Want my help to make them confess?"
Naib cringed at the nickname, but he needed her help. "Uhh yeah, thanks."
"Alright~ So I'm pointing my gun at them, and if they don't confess they'll see how powerful it is. One-"
"Right, we confess." Norton sighed and said.
"Woohoo! That was easy!"
Kreacher watched as Martha hectically danced from the corner of his eye. "Y'know, we only confessed to avoid trouble. What'd happen if Martha really caused injuries? Trouble."
Martha didn't pay attention to anyone else at all, she was only gazing at Naib—cute Naib with the green hood.
"The poor and the thief," Edgar remarked, "Makes a team, eh, Luca?"
"Babe you're gonna get murdered by them if they hear youuu"
Victor put his finger to his stitched lips, meaning 'shhh'
"Ed, Naib's dating Norton, you know?" Andrew asked.
"Yeah I know, still wanna say that"
They watched as Martha sat right next to Naib.
"Naib~ Nai-bie~" Martha called.
"…Yeah?" Naib replied wearily.
"I did a good job didn't I? Exposing the truth?"
"Yeah…"
"Then-" Martha faced Naib and smiled, blushing slightly. "Kiss meee"
"What?!"
"That's enough Martha," Vera chided, "Anyone here can see that you're obsessed with Naib, but he's dating Norton."
"Oops sorry Helena," Vera added sheepishly, receiving an assuring smile from the Mind's Eye.
Just then someone knocked on the doors of the entrance to the manor.
"Perhaps that's Ada! Then we can wake Emil up." Helena said happily.
The survivors continued chatting enthusiastically as Luca, who was sitting nearest to the double doors, opened them.
But outside wasn't the psychologist as they had expected; instead, a man was standing outside. He had grey-white hair, tied into a short ponytail, and he wore a grey mask. His clothing was simple, and mainly black. The bag and the box he brought with him were also black.
The man seemed to freeze upon the sight of seeing so many people at once. Then slowly he unfroze, observed the interior, and mumbling 'I'm at the wrong place', he bowed and turned to leave.
"Who are you?" Brave, responsible Emily stepped forward, stopped him and asked. Everyone gathered around with interest.
"Oh, I-I'm an embalmer… But as everyone here looks so… joyful… I guess I took a wrong turn. I'm sorry." He tried to leave, but they hustled him in and closed the doors.
"Aww sweetie… another survivor here." Helena sighed pitifully.
"He isn't a hunter, is he?" Edgar questioned, but nobody heard him.
"I'm sorry sweetie, but this is the correct place," Emily said gently.
"O-okay then, are you Miss Nightingale?" The man asked uncertainly.
Luca hooted with laughter. "BwaHahahAhahaHA he thinks that Emily dyEr is MiSs NighTinGAlE" he choked. "I- I can't breeatheee Emily helppp"
Emily glares at him. "You will be nice to our new member Luca Balsa"
Helena asked, her tone gentle: 'Sweetie what's your name?'
"I-it's Aesop. Aesop Carl."
"Come here then, Aesop. No need to be shy… All of us will be living with you from now on. Hopefully you'll settle in… Come and sit next to me Aesop… I'm Helena."
Aesop carefully asked, "I'm sorry… May I ask if you're blind?"
"Yeah that's right. Aesop…"
"Uh yes, Helena?"
"Nothing," she smiled. "Just wanted to hear you call my name, that's a way for me to get to know you. Poor sweetie…" she smiled sadly. "Let me tell you everything, and how things run here. Life here's tiring, but hopefully, with everyone being united, we'd all be able to enjoy as much as we can."
"Clearly Freddy Riley isn't enjoying," a certain someone interrupted.
"Keep quiet you rat! You prisoner! Making enemies with a lawyer has no benefits."
"So as you Freddy… Careful I accidentally electric shock you"
"I can't get terror shocked."
"I'm not talking about in matches, I mean outside matches, maybe right here!"
"Arrgh you dimbo"
"Arrgh you katydid"
"Terror shock? Matches?" Aesop was confused. "And why's there a prisoner and a lawyer here? Y'all are each so different… Why're y'all here?"
Helena sighed. "Right, let's start from the story of this major - the Oletus manor - okay? Then I'll tell you everyone's backgrounds, and I'll explain the matches and the rules, plus the hunters if we have time. I guess you'll have to join a match tomorrow… Now listen, Aesop! Once upon a time…"
