Episode 1: "The Twin Genius"
---
INT. HART HOUSE – MORNING
Camera pans across a warm, suburban home in Swellview. Photos of the Hart family line the hallway — one of Henry and Jacob ("Jay") at age 5, grinning with ice cream smeared on their faces. Another shows both boys at a science fair — Henry with a normal volcano project, Jay with a working miniature reactor glowing blue.
HENRY (V.O.)
(cheerful)
My name's Henry Hart. I live in Swellview with my mom, dad, and my twin brother Jay.
JAY (V.O.)
(calm, confident)
I'm Jacob Hart, but everyone calls me Jay. The world calls me Jake Hart… but that's just the name on my albums.
CUT TO:
Henry, 13, runs down the stairs, nearly tripping over his backpack. Jay, identical age but sharper in presence — calm, tidy, wearing a dark blue hoodie — sits at the table, typing rapidly on a holographic laptop he built himself.
MOM
Henry! Jay! You're gonna be late for school!
HENRY
(shoving toast in his mouth)
Blame Jay, he hacked my alarm again!
JAY
(smirks)
Correction — I improved it. It now syncs with your REM cycle. You're welcome.
HENRY
Yeah, well, my REM cycle made me almost miss the bus!
MOM
Jay, honey, not everything needs to be "improved."
JAY
It's a habit, Mom.
He takes a sip of orange juice, glancing at the small black earpiece in his ear — custom-built, glowing faintly.
DAD
Jay, please tell me that thing isn't gonna explode like your toaster drone.
JAY
It won't. That one learned from its mistakes.
HENRY
You mean after it tried to butter me at 200 miles an hour?
Laughter all around. The boys grab their bags and head out the door.
---
EXT. SWELLVIEW – STREET – DAY
The twins walk side by side. Henry has earbuds in, humming a tune. Jay walks calmly, eyes scanning everything — always thinking.
HENRY
You know, you could try not thinking for once.
JAY
Tried that once. Got bored in eight seconds.
HENRY
You're like if a supercomputer and a golden retriever had a baby.
JAY
That's… oddly flattering.
---
INT. SWELLVIEW JUNIOR HIGH – CLASSROOM – DAY
Charlotte and Jasper are waiting near the lab tables.
CHARLOTTE
About time, twins. What's up, Jay?
JAY
Morning, Char. (smiles warmly) How's the robotics project coming?
CHARLOTTE
Almost done. Could use your brain, though.
JAY
You already have one. And it's pretty good.
Charlotte blushes faintly. Henry notices and smirks.
HENRY
Jay, you're supposed to help her project, not make it short-circuit.
CHARLOTTE
Oh, please. Like you even read the assignment.
JASPER
You guys hear about that new job downtown? At Junk-N-Stuff?
HENRY
Yeah, some weird store. Who'd wanna work there?
JAY
(quietly, analyzing)
It's not about the store… it's about what's underneath it.
HENRY
What?
JAY
Never mind. Just a hunch.
---
INT. JUNK-N-STUFF – AFTER SCHOOL
Henry and Jay walk in. The shop is filled with random junk. Behind the counter — a tall man with stubble, reading a magazine.
RAY MANCER (CAPTAIN MAN)
You kids lost?
HENRY
Uh, no. We're here for the job?
JAY
(smiling politely)
You posted the ad. "Looking for part-time help. Discretion required."
RAY
Huh. You talk like a lawyer.
JAY
I prefer "strategist."
RAY
And you?
HENRY
I prefer getting paid.
Ray chuckles.
RAY
Alright. Let's see if you can handle a little… pressure.
He presses a button. The floor beneath them drops.
HENRY & JAY
WHAAAAAA—!
They land in a sleek underground lair filled with glowing tech and gadgets.
---
INT. MAN CAVE – CONTINUOUS
Jay's eyes light up like he's just seen heaven.
JAY
This… is… beautiful.
HENRY
What is this place?!
RAY
This, boys, is the Man Cave. My name's Captain Man. I fight crime, save the city, and occasionally — hire sidekicks.
HENRY
Wait — you're the Captain Man?!
JAY
(soft grin)
Statistically, yeah. Muscle build, voice recognition, and the distinct trace of titanium composite armor smell. Checks out.
RAY
…What are you, Sherlock Holmes?
JAY
Closer to Tony Stark, but I'll take it.
---
SCHWOZ enters, eccentric as ever, holding a screwdriver that looks like it came from the future.
SCHWOZ
Ah! You must be ze Hart twins! I have read about you! Jay, ze boy who built a working AI toaster!
JAY
It's still learning empathy.
HENRY
So… what's the job?
RAY
Simple. You help me fight crime. Henry, you'll be my trainee — Kid Danger.
HENRY
WHAT?!
JAY
And me?
RAY
You're too young to be Captain Man. But you… you've got something else.
Ray eyes the glowing wristband Jay wears — an invention of his own.
RAY (CONT'D)
You build tech, don't you?
JAY
Among other things.
SCHWOZ
He is like me… but with better hair.
JAY
(laughs)
Compliment accepted.
---
MONTAGE:
Jay helps upgrade Captain Man's systems. He builds a stealth drone, a shield emitter, and helps Henry test his new Kid Danger suit. Henry trains, Jay engineers. Both brothers bond through chaos and laughter.
---
INT. HART HOUSE – NIGHT
Henry sneaks in quietly, bruised but smiling. Jay's already there, on his bed, tinkering with a small glowing orb.
HENRY
So… you knew.
JAY
That you were gonna say yes? Yeah.
HENRY
You're not mad?
JAY
Mad? Nah. You'll be the muscle… I'll be the mind. Team Hart.
They fist-bump. Camera pans to the window — moonlight shining on both twins, now united in secret destiny.
