CHAPTER FOUR.
Jasmine's POV.
Damon Acheron. Not only was he the feared Lycan tyrant, but he was also rumored to be cursed by the Vampire King, Dracula. It was a generational curse, originating from his father, Lycaon.
Lycaon was cursed by Dracula for going against their royal deals and since then, it has transferred to every one of his bloodlines. I don't exactly know the full details or what the curse was about, but was my dad seriously asking me to breed for such a man?
"B-but that's not my destiny." I reminded Dad just in case he had forgotten. I belonged to the Alpha King, not the Lycan beast.
"I know, but we don't have a choice, unless you want your head served to me on a platter," Dad told me, and I took a deep breath.
He had a point.
"Tulip and I are the total opposite of one another, Dad, wouldn't he find out?" I asked, feeling faint, my head pounding.
The spell was coming to an end and was seriously draining my strength. The blood gushed, disappearing into the circle and I knew why.
In exchange for casting a forbidden spell, my strength, blood was sucked, and if not stopped in time, I might die.
"Then we should thank our stars that he doesn't know that. You might act yourself a bit, but be firm when necessary, like Tulip is." Dad said, and I nodded, biting my lower lip hard.
'How did I end up in this situation again?'
"Also, do not deny him sex," Dad warned and I stifffened, my heart skipping a beat.
'I can't believe I would really bed this monster.' I thought in disbelief.
"Yes. Do not. The earlier you guys have sex, the earlier he gets an heir, and you can leave." Dad explained.
"But will the Alpha king still want me after that?" I questioned and my dad went silent as the hairs at the back of my head stood up.
I could hear the heavy, familiar footsteps echoing through the hallway. It couldn't be the Lycan beast right? He mustn't see me like this.
"The Alpha king will have no idea it isn't you, I will t...." My dad tried saying but I snapped my fingers hurriedly, cutting the link between us, ending the spell.
The footsteps sounded heavier, and so did the heartbeat of my heart pounding against my chest. I cleaned the circle with a handkerchief; thankfully, no blood in sight.
My legs wobbled as I bent to clear the ashes of the parrot. I collapsed to the floor heavily and winced, trying to get back up, but I couldn't feel my body anymore.
I was suddenly numb. Just then, my door burst open, and his familiar woody scent caught my nose.
I felt his eyes burn into my back but that was the least of my concerns. I was bleeding from my nose and my bones were cracking painfully.
I bit back a scream, widening my eyes slightly as I realized that I had forgotten a major thing I had to do before ending the spell, and now the repercussion was taking effect on my body.
My insides burned and I let out a scream, tears gathering at the brim of my eyes. I looked up and saw him staring at me calmly, his expression blank as if I wasn't in agony.
'What kind of a beast was he?' I pondered as another pain ripped through me. It was like I was being cut into pieces. My eyes felt heavy.
Just then, he knelt by my side, and through my blurry vision, I caught his lips curling into a sadistic smile, his red eyes glowing with excitement as he reached out to wipe my tears.
I couldn't feel his touch but shivered as he licked them off his fingers.
"Cry more for me, Bird." He whispered, and I gave in to unconsciousness.
....
....
"Mi'lady." I woke up to a soft tap on my arm and flicked my eyelids open to see Jane, smiling down at me.
"H-hi." I tried saying but ended up coughing badly, my lungs tightening, suffocating me as I placed a hand on my throat.
Jane immediately served me a glass of water, sat me up, and fed me slowly. I wanted to gulp everything down at once, that was how thirsty I was but I felt too weak to.
I lay back on the bed, lost at first, but then memories of what had happened previously hit me, and I gasped.
The Lycan beast almost caught me making an incantation. How careless could I have gotten?
'What if he got suspicious about those ashes and started trying to figure things out?' I wondered as I dug my nails into my palm but instead of feeling my flesh, I felt a plaster.
I immediately looked at my hand and saw that it was carefully treated.
"Who did this?" I mumbled under my breath but it seems Jane caught it for;
"Lord Damon." She replied as she scurried around the room, trying to do a thing or two.
My blood turned cold.
Did she just say what I thought she said?
"The Lycan beast?" I called out in disbelief and she shuddered like I had touched a sensitive topic.
"Y-yes." She stuttered and I turned to look at my hand again, feeling an unknown emotion bursting through me again.
'But why?' I pondered, remembering how he told me to cry for him again. That was before I passed out.
What a psycho!
"Lady Tulip." I cringed as Jane called me that, walking up to me and I was about to correct her when I remembered where I was.
"I hope you are ready to begin performing your duties to our Lord." Jane placed a tray that I didn't even notice she was holding on a table beside me.
"I don't have a choice, do I?" I tried sitting up when I smelt the familiar cologne again and a shiver ran down my spine.
"But you do, little bird." His thunderous voice sounded in the room and a huge lump formed in my throat.
