While standing in the pit, with his fingers deeply embedded in the slime's body, Zaber felt delicate vibrations occurring inside the slime with his every movement. Slowly withdrawing his hand, he whispered to himself:
"My blood is useless to me, but is it a treasure to the slime?"
His voice carried a mixture of anger and astonishment. Zaber paused for a moment, carefully stroked the slime, and continued in a low voice:
"You have shown that you will become incredibly powerful in the future. With the potential within you and through my blood, one day you will become a threat to millions of animals and people."
The slime could not respond; the formation of its consciousness had not yet begun. At the same time, Zaber turned back and began walking slowly out of the pit. The slime followed him, mimicking his steps, trailing behind as it watched him. With each slide, its body compressed slightly, yet it remained large.
