Chapter 1 - WHAT IS OUTSIDE ??

CHAPTER 1: MEET THE FAMILY.

INT. GRAND MANSION – EVENING

A butler, neatly dressed in a crisp black suit and white gloves, walks quietly through the marble hallway of a grand mansion. His polished shoes echo softly against the floor as he approaches a tall, white door.

He pauses, clears his throat, and knocks twice.

BUTLER: Master Damien, dinner is ready.

No response.

He waits a moment, then knocks again—gentler this time.

BUTLER: Your parents have requested your presence, sir.

A calm but cold voice answers from behind the door.

DAMIEN (through the door): I'll eat here.

BUTLER: Sir, it was a direct request from your parents.

There's silence. Then, the sound of a lock clicking.

The door opens to reveal Damien—a white-haired boy of fifteen, strikingly handsome yet distant. His piercing blue eyes glance at the butler.

DAMIEN: I'll be there.

He walks past the butler without another word.

---

INT. DINING HALL – MOMENTS LATER

The grand dining hall glows with warm light. Chandeliers glitter overhead, and the long table is set with silverware, golden dishes, and more food than one family could eat.

As Damien descends the staircase, his family is already seated.

At the table sit Elsa, eighteen, poised and elegant with black and white hair and crimson eyes, and Mira, sixteen, with pure white hair and matching red eyes, her beauty delicate and mischievous.

At the head of the table sits their father, Elvira, a slightly heavyset man with short black hair streaked with gray and deep red eyes that gleam with authority.

MIRA (teasing): Well, well... if it isn't our ghost finally joining the living.

Damien ignores her and takes his seat quietly.

ELVIRA (booming laugh): Ha! We haven't done this as a family in ages!

Damien's fork scrapes against his plate. He mutters under his breath—

DAMIEN (low): You call this a family?

The laughter dies.

ELVIRA (coldly): If you've got something to say, boy, say it in front of us.

Damien doesn't look up. He simply picks up his fork again, eyes fixed on the meal before him.

The tension at the table is so thick, it could choke the air itself.

The Edge

Damien, who clearly isn't interested in whatever this was, stands and begins to head toward the door.

Mira (sharply): You weren't excused from Father!!

Damien keeps walking, ignoring her.

Mira (to Elvira, complaining): Dad, are you just going to watch him disrespect you like that?

Elvira (smirking): He'll come back. He always does.

Damien walks past the two guards standing at the giant doors. As he steps outside, he stops. Without looking back, he says quietly:

Damien: Waiting for an invitation?

A girl bursts out from behind the flower bushes.

Cassie: How did you know I was there?!

(Cassie — a pink-haired, bright-eyed 13-year-old girl wearing torn clothes. Her pink eyes sparkle even in the moonlight.)

Damien (flatly): It's nothing special. You just suck at hiding.

He continues walking. Cassie rushes to catch up.

Cassie (grinning): So, where are we going this time?

Damien: The Edge.

Cassie: The Edge? That's new. Why?

Damien: ...Nothing.

---

EXT. PARK — NIGHT

The scene cuts to a quiet park. Damien and Cassie sit on the grass, gazing at a star-filled sky.

Beyond them stands a metal fence, tall and marked with faded warning signs:

"KEEP OFF." "DO NOT GO BEYOND." "HAZARDOUS AREA."

Damien (calmly): Have you ever thought about it?

Cassie: About what?

Damien: What's beyond that fence.

Cassie (shrugs): No, not really.

Although… it's kinda intriguing, isn't it?

But it can't be anything good, can it?

Damien: Just asking.

(A pause. The wind brushes through the grass.)

Damien: Tell me, how's your family like?

Cassie (smiling): Well... I've got four annoying brothers, so it's basically nothing short of miserable.

I'm the second child 😄.

My dad's barely home 'cause he's always on guard duty—he's one of your guards, actually.

But when he's home, it's so lively!

And my mom—she's the best. She loves to tell us stories and cook us amazing meals.

(Excitedly, she starts telling him a funny story about one of her brothers.)

Damien's face softens. He lowers his head slightly.

Cassie (concerned): Hey… what's wrong?

Damien (quietly): I wish I was as lucky as you.

You have such an amazing family.

Cassie (surprised): Seriously? You're envious of me?

I'm the one who should be jealous of you!

(She laughs lightly.)

Cassie: You guys are rich! You get anything you want and eat until you're full.

Haaa… that's a dream life, if you ask me.

(Damien gives a faint smile, but his eyes stay distant, reflecting the stars and the fence.)

Cassie: You know, Damien… sometimes you look like one of those statues in your mansion.

Always staring, never blinking. Do you even smile?

Damien (flatly): Smiling's… unnecessary.

Cassie (grinning): Oh really? So if I told you I once threw a pie at my brother and blamed the cat—

Damien (unexpectedly chuckles):Pfft.

Cassie's eyes widen.

Cassie: W-wait... did you just... smile?!

Damien (turns away): No.

Cassie (teasing): You did! I saw it! Oh my gosh, Damien smiled! Call the guards, it's a miracle!

Damien (blushing): S-shut up…

Cassie (laughing):The Ice Prince melts!

He glares at her, but the blush only deepens. She grins wider, triumphant.

Then both fall quiet, the teasing fading into a peaceful silence. They gaze back up at the stars.

Damien (after a moment, quietly): Umm… Cassie?

Cassie: Hmm?

Damien (a bit shy): Can I… stay the night at your place?

Cassie blinks, completely caught off guard.

Cassie: Woah!! Didn't see that coming…

Damien (nervously): If it'll be trouble for you guys, then it's o—

Cassie (interrupting): It's okay! I'd… I'd like that.

She blushes softly, glancing away.

Damien (surprised): Really?

Cassie (joking again): Well, it's your problem, actually. You're leaving a perfectly perfect mansion to come stay with us? You're really weird, you know that?

Damien (smirks faintly): Maybe I am.

Cassie (standing): Well then, what are we waiting for?

She grabs his hand and starts running toward the road, pulling him with her.

Damien: H-hey—!

Cassie (laughing): Come on, Prince Grumpy!

The scene slows as they run under the streetlights.

Damien looks at her — her pink hair glowing in the night breeze, her laughter soft and free.

For the first time, his cold eyes seem... alive.

Perfect 👍 Let's continue the story naturally from where it left off — Damien smiling for the first time as Cassie pulls him along to her home.

Here's the next scene, keeping the warm, slightly comedic anime tone while letting that emotional undercurrent breathe:

Beyond Our World — Scene: Cassie's Home

EXT. SMALL VILLAGE HOUSE — NIGHT

The two arrive at a small wooden house at the edge of the village. The moonlight glimmers off the rooftops; fireflies drift lazily around the porch.

Cassie (panting, laughing): Haa… you're heavy! Do you ever walk faster than a snail?

Damien (calmly): You're the one who started running.

Cassie: Because you were walking like someone going to his own funeral!

Damien: Maybe I was.

Cassie (frowns): That's not funny.

Damien (tiny smirk): I wasn't joking.

Cassie glares at him for a second, then bursts out laughing anyway.

Cassie (grinning): You're impossible!

CASSIE'S HOUSE — NIGHT

Cassie rummages through a small dresser, tossing clothes everywhere.

Cassie: You can't walk in here dressed like that!

Damien (confused): Like what?

Cassie (dramatic): Like the mayor's son! Everyone knows that outfit — the fancy black suit, the polished shoes! If my parents find out who you are, they'll freak out!

She shoves a huge faded T-shirt and some baggy jeans into his hands.

Cassie: Here, wear this.

Damien (staring): This…?

Cassie: Yeah. It's perfect.

Cut to a moment later—Damien steps out wearing the oversized shirt and jeans. The pants are so baggy they almost fall off, and the shirt swallows him whole.

Cassie slaps her hand over her mouth, trying so hard not to laugh.

Cassie (voice trembling): You… look… perfect.

Damien (deadpan): You're enjoying this.

Cassie (barely holding laughter): N-nooo… you just… look so… casual.

She gulps down her giggle fit, turning away as tears of laughter prick her eyes.

---

Suddenly — a small voice behind them:

Josh (Cassie's little brother, wide-eyed): Sis?

Cassie freezes. Damien blinks.

Josh tilts his head, then gasps dramatically.

Josh (yelling): MOOOOOM!!! CASSANDRA BROUGHT HER BOYFRIEND HOME!!!

Cassie's soul leaves her body.

Cassie (horrified): JOSH, NOOOOO!!!

Heavy footsteps thunder down the stairs. Within seconds, the entire family floods the room — Mom, and all four brothers.

Mom (surprised but kind): Cassie! You didn't tell us you had company!

Cassie (nervously): Haha... funny story actually—

Josh (excitedly pointing): He's her boyfriend! He's wearing my old jeans!!

Cassie (through gritted teeth): JOSH. BED. NOW.

Josh: But he's so tall! Does he play knights?

Mom (amused): Josh, honey, quiet. Let your sister talk.

Cassie gulps, thinking fast.

Cassie: Uhhh... this is… D–Dami…

She glances at Damien, panicked. He raises a brow.

Cassie (blurting out): Dami...no...nion!

(she immediately regrets it)

Damien (flatly): …Damionion?

Cassie (forcing a smile): Yep! That's right! Damionion! My… uh… classmate!

Damien: That's not my name.

Cassie (whispering, tugging his sleeve): Play along or I'll tell them you sleep in gold sheets.

Damien (sighs): ...Nice to meet you. I'm… Damionion.

Cassie's Mom (smiling kindly): That's an interesting name! Where are you from, dear?

Cassie (interrupting fast): From—uh—far! Very far! Super far away!

Dad (suspicious): Far like... from another sector?

Cassie (panicking): F-farther than that! Like… the hills!

Mom (cheerful): Oh how wonderful! Well, any friend of Cassie's is welcome here. Come, dinner's still warm!

Cassie exhales in relief, dragging Damien toward the table.

---

INT. DINING AREA — MOMENTS LATER

The table is small but full of warmth: bread, soup, and a simple roast. Damien sits stiffly at first, but the smell softens his expression.

He takes a bite—his eyes widen. Then another. And another.

Mom (giggling): You've got quite an appetite, huh?

Damien (blushing): I—uh—it's really good.

Cassie (teasing): Wow. The mighty "Damionion" eats like he hasn't seen food in days.

Damien (muttering): Maybe I haven't seen food this good.

Cassie smiles faintly.

Mom (tilting her head): You know… you look kinda like the mayor's son.

Cassie immediately spits the water she was drinking.

Cassie (choking): PFFT—! WHAT—NOOO, MOM!

Damien (coughing violently): C–cough Excuse me—!

Dad (squinting): Now that she mentions it… same hair color too.

Cassie (rapid-fire): Coincidence! Total coincidence! He's from… uh… the hill sector! Where everyone has white hair! Very trendy over there!

Mom (laughing): Oh dear, I see! Well, "Damionion," you're welcome anytime.

Damien (still red-faced): Th-thank you, ma'am…

Cassie hides her grin behind her cup.

Cassie (softly): Nice save, "Damionion."

Damien (glaring at her, whispering): You're evil.

Cassie (smirking): You love it.

They exchange a look — part laughter, part warmth — as the family dinner continues in cheerful chaos.

(Scene ends with a soft shot of Damien smiling faintly again as Cassie's family chatters in the background.)

CASSIE'S ROOM — LATE NIGHT

The house is silent now. The only sound is the faint chirping of crickets outside.

Moonlight filters through a small window, painting soft silver lines across the wooden floor.

Damien lies on a simple flat bed beside the wall, a thin sheet draped over half his body.

He shifts slightly, turning his head.

Cassie sleeps nearby on a small futon, her pink hair messy and covering part of her face. Her breathing is calm and steady — peaceful.

Damien watches her for a moment. His usual cold expression softens.

He inhales slowly… then lets out a quiet sighs,

A small, gentle smile forms on his lips — his first real one.

He closes his eyes.

The camera lingers for a moment — moonlight resting over both of them — before fading to black.
