Part Six: Happy
WHAM! THWACK! WHAPOW!
He is on the ground… but not Winston.
Throgond lay injured on the ground, looking up at Winston. With frustration.
Winston had bested the strongest being in the universe, with pure human spirit.
The Sandeth soldiers looked at him in fear.
Winston stood there staring at Throgond menacingly with his arms crossed.
But then he realized—they didn't die in vain. They died for the greater good of humanity. But Throgond didn't have to die. His evil needed to die. His pain and scars needed to die. He had suffered so much already.
But he can still be fixed, with a little bit of help.
Winston held out his hand.
"I don't want to hurt you. I want to heal you."
Throgond was stunned.
"Why? Why? After everything I've done to you? I killed your family. Your friends. And you actually forgive me?"
Winston's face softened.
"I do not forgive you. And I never will. But that doesn't mean I can't help you be a better person. That doesn't mean I have to hate you. I know you suffered. And I suffered too. Let's end our suffering together."
Throgond looked even more stunned.
"…O-ok."
He grabbed Winston's hand.
And for a moment, Winston felt…
Happy.
