His breathing turned heavy, yet his eyes grew brighter and sharper. Sitting cross-legged in midair, he formed a cultivation seal with his hands.
"Today, I'll shatter the Heavenly Barrier."
Azure Flames flared from his body, rampaging through his meridians like a feral dragon, burning away all the blocked medicinal energy. Every drop was refined into pure, majestic Spiritual Energy.
Billions of streaks of light radiated from his body, making him shine like a miniature sun suspended in the heavens. Under that brilliant glow, his flesh turned translucent, crystalline, and flawless—like a masterpiece carved by heaven and earth itself.

Outside, the cauldron that had stilled during his battle with the Emperor Pill began to tremble once more. Violet Cloud Lord's robe rippled in the fierce wind. He carefully gauged the surrounding energy's density and flow before drawing a shocking conclusion—
The person inside that cauldron… was breaking through to the Heavenly Sovereign Realm!
A cold chill spread down his spine as he stared blankly at the cauldron suspended in the sky. If it had been a simple High Earth Sovereign or even a Perfect Earth Sovereign, he might have dared to approach. But a Heavenly Sovereign?
He wasn't qualified.
Not even close.
Venerable Thunder Note and the Golden Eagle Emperor shared the same thought. Against an Earth Sovereign they might still exchange words; before a Heavenly Sovereign, they could only kneel and look up.
After a long silence, Violet Cloud Lord muttered, "The reason Heavenly Sovereigns are so few—besides talent—is because most continents cannot provide enough Spiritual Energy for a breakthrough. He must have come to the Skylaw Continent for this very reason… to break through here."
Venerable Thunder Note's expression flickered with inner conflict. He briefly considered interfering—after all, a Heavenly Sovereign's birth would drain the Northern Domain's Spiritual Energy for centuries.

Then came a faint sound—crack!—as though a thin shell had shattered.
In that instant, his Spiritual Energy burst forth without obstruction. His flesh, his blood, and his Sovereign Sea fused completely into one—transforming his body on a fundamental level.
The last remnants of Dou Qi within him vanished, replaced entirely by pure Spiritual Energy.
His flesh turned ethereal, crystalline like jade—a spiritual body, perfectly refined.
And at that moment, Liu Xi sensed his bond with the Great Thousand World deepen infinitely. It was as though he could command the heavens and earth themselves with but a thought.

The cauldron at the storm's center trembled and slowly melted away. From within, a translucent figure stepped into the sky, exuding an aura that made the heavens themselves bow.
Heavenly Sovereign!
An invisible pulse swept through the air. Those watching found the world around them twisting into something foreign, unrecognizable. At its center stood Liu Xi's spectral form—so commanding that even the heavens bent to his will.
For that moment, he was the master of all creation.
Even mighty figures like Violet Cloud Lord, Venerable Thunder Note, and the Golden Eagle Emperor could only feel bitter awe. Their knees nearly buckled under the weight of his presence.
As for Xuan Pao, his eyes blazed with fanatic devotion. He stared up at Liu Xi like a zealot beholding the descent of a living god.
Nearby, Mandala's fair cheeks flushed, her eyes bright with admiration and awe. To witness the birth of a Heavenly Sovereign—what greater glory could there be?
The phantom's face was identical to Liu Xi's—it was his Heavenly Sovereign Spiritual Body. His transformation was complete; his power now truly transcended the Dou Qi of the past.
A feeling of flawless unity, of perfect harmony between heaven and self, welled within him. Enlightenment filled his heart, the insights of the Heavenly Sovereign Realm flooding through his mind.

His strength had returned to its peak—and surpassed it. The Great Thousand World's vastness granted him power far beyond anything possible in the Dou Qi Continent.
"Lightning Tribulation, is it?"
Liu Xi chuckled softly. Though surrounded by lightning serpents, he showed not a hint of fear.
"Flame Command."
The world around him suddenly ignited. Illusory yet tangible fire engulfed the heavens, burning so fiercely it seemed capable of incinerating even Spiritual Energy itself.
All things could burn.
From the inferno, azure fire dragons surged forth, colliding with the black thunder serpents. The moment lightning touched that eerie flame, it was devoured—burned to nothingness.
Liu Xi raised his gaze skyward, smiling faintly.
"Even heaven's wrath… I do not fear."
With those words, the void trembled.
A colossal Azure Flame Celestial Body, towering tens of thousands of feet high, manifested between heaven and earth. Its robes blazed with azure fire that seemed to melt the very fabric of reality.
"Azure Lotus Celestial Body—Refine the Heavens!"
Liu Xi's voice rolled like a sacred chant across the skies, echoing in the hearts of all who watched.
Then, under countless stunned gazes, that massive Celestial Body opened its mouth—and swallowed the entire sea of tribulation clouds whole.
Thunder roared within its chest like a storm trapped in a furnace. Yet the giant form stood unmoving, absorbing it all until, finally, it exhaled a single puff of black smoke.
The smoke spread outward. Violet Cloud Lord, Venerable Thunder Note, and the Golden Eagle Emperor paled in terror, retreating hastily—for even a trace of that smoke could doom any Earth Sovereign to eternal destruction.
