"Alright," Lock said with a smile. "I'll skip the cheesy speeches and the boring business talk."
The others chuckled lightly.
"From today onward, consider this place a family. Let's work hard—and share everything."
Applause filled the office.
They were his people now.
"Director Lock," Sirius asked with sparkling curiosity, "why Fairy Tail? What does the name mean?"
Lock coughed and recited Makarov's legendary words:
"No one knows if fairies have tails—or if they even exist. That uncertainty inspires endless curiosity. And our agency will face the unknown with that same spirit—courage, exploration, and wonder."
Another round of applause.
If only they knew he plagiarized it word for word.
"Well… let's get to work." Lock's ears reddened.
Their work hours were officially 9 AM to 6 PM, with overtime pay as needed.
Just like the Fairy Tail guild in his old world, this office would be a gathering place for Heroes and the commissions they'd take on.
Fairy Tail would shine again—this time in the world of Heroes.
Lock walked to his personal desk, computer, décor, simple furniture, and a calligraphy scroll on the wall.
He sat down. Exhaled.
And shut his eyes.
"Enter system space."
It was finally time.
The S-Class Lottery.
Items in the S-Class draw granted all magic mastered by a single Fairy Tail wizard.
Lock's pulse quickened.
His vision was filled with a glowing roulette of mages.
"Use S-Class Lottery."

Lock's eyes flew open.
A shock ran through him.
And the corners of his lips slowly rose—
He had drawn Gray.
